I wouldn't put him in the top 100. Let's face it his career has been built on fighting people in decline below their real weight class (Morales, De La Hoya, Cotto, Margarito) and the idea that he is a 7 time world champion is false because he never held a world title at featherweight. He had the WBC International title which isnt a real world title. And Pacquiao's title win over Cotto doesn't count either because it was at a catchweight. And his 130lb title win shouldnt count either because Marquez was robbed. Even Fillipino boxing experts had him winning.

Someone please explain to me what makes him a Top 10/20 ATG because I just don't see it. People will say he beat Barrera twice but Junior Jones also beat Barrera twice. He beat Barrera twice and lost to Morales. Just like Pacquiao.

To be even a Top 40 ATG you need to have had a sustained period of beating the best in your division. Pacquiao hasnt beaten the best in any division he has fought in. And he also lost to bums.

He is NOT an ATG. Just an extremely carefully managed fighter who became popular with his fake good guy image. When in reality he is anything but. Pacquiao demands his opponents fight at catchweights and puts huge weight penalties on them which will be imposed if they don't make the weight.

The fact that he's supposedly the best fighter in the sport but is fighting Margarito. A banned cheater who was brutally KO'd by Shane Mosley in his last big fight. The fact that Pacquiao is fighting him at a catchweight for a vacant belt tells you everything you need to know about Pacquiao as a fighter and as a person. He's the definition of "Paper Champion".

In what would've been the biggest fight of his career at that point, when he fought Morales 1, he gave a blood sample 2 days before the Morales fight. Of course they had to have tested it for PED's, EPO, HGH, the works, right? Not a hint of cheating was ever found.

He believed giving blood weakened him, fine. He wasn't wearing his Reyes puncher gloves...fine.

What actually made him lose was a huge gash over his eye (from an accidental headbutt) which caused him to dial back his aggression and fight going backwards while avoiding shots. Thus, he lost. He simply couldn't box while backpedaling and lost that fight (he's a pressure fighter).

But from accomplishments alone, Manny surely has achieved greatness. The simple fact is nobody ever gave a thought of him fighting at Welterweight. Then he makes DLH quit, having never weighed-in over 140lbs.

Then he knocked out Ricky Hatton @ 140lbs...someone people thought was too heavy for him.
Then Miguel Cotto....and Manny took the puerto rican's shots as if he were a lightweight. Yeah they fought at 145, but Cotto said it wasn't too difficult to make the weight.

Cotto - "This is the best condition I have ever been. 100% I will be ready for this fight as I have been for all my fights. I feel stronger and faster at this weight,” Pacquiao told David Tyler of ****.com.

When we took this fight, we decided that we were fine with 145. We knew we could do it and we knew we would be at our best the next night,” he told ****.com.

Again....many experts and historians thought Manny Pacquiao had no business fighting over 140lbs. He only rehydrated to about 146-148...which is a stark contrast to fighters who rehydrate almost 10-15 lbs for a fight.

Point is....Manny Pacquiao....as raw and one-handed as he was...beat guys he had no business even fighting.

Morales and Barrera were on a decline....but they were ELITE fighters. They're living legends. JMM was in his absolute prime and took Pac to school...and he arguably still won, citing a Judge's scoring error.

Anyone who discredits this man is a moron, plain and simple. Manny Pacquiao has achieved greatness. Top 10 or 20, I don't care where u put him, that's for people to argue. But he deserved his FOTD award, and he deserves at least an honorable mention among the top 20 ATG's.
Elite fighters are never in decline. If you are in Decline you are not Elite.

Any more bull**** excuses why Pac is the best?

Maybe because hes been getting to make any rules he wants for the last 5 - 6 years and the largely filipino-only fanbase doesnt call him out on it.

            maybe thats why.

            Dont worry.

His shady financers back in Asia (where i hear Pac is a Hero) have already paid for a spot in the hall of fame.

Pac - doesnt fight undefeated fighters and imposes harsh regulations on other fighters for coming too high in weight to his liking. sounds like a ****in primadonna to me. Only wants to fight guys coming off layoffs or brutal losses

            What a ****ing ATG.

            LOL

            **** Pac.

He is up there, in the top 10/20. Peds issue is that he is innocent as he has never been found guilty of it. But catchweights and all those other conditions and restrictions, those are bull**** stuff that tarnish his reputation. Enough with this catchweight ****.

Honestly when it's all said and done, Pacquiao will be a top 20 ATG for sure. The only people who say otherwise are those who hold old fighters on a higher pedestal than they should be.

FWIW I don't think he will ever break top 7, but again he will finish in the top 20 for sure. There are too many "never been done before" accomplishments on his resume for him not to be.
