Come on Natas, you can't be serious with that comparison.

An old Marquez jumped up two weight classes when he was already blown up at LW.

Dawson is not a big LHW and can make SMW. Not to mention, Bute is probably a fight or two away from moving up to LHW. Size wise, there's very little difference.

To compare it to Mayweather/Marquez is asinine.
I don't know where this idea that bute is going to move to 175 "in a couple of fights" comes from when the super six guys are not far away and those are big money fights.

And it's not an asinine comparison because you're entire point was based on them being top ten pound 4 pound as to why it's more meaningful than a unification bout.

Logically speaking, there is nothing you can say that makes Bute-Dawson more meaningful than unification at 175. Cloud vs Dawson is the fight that needs to happen, not Dawson vs an unrated 175 pounder.

In Canada between two A class fighters, one of is Canadian, and the other a Canadian favorite if he beats Pascal? Yes, that's exactly what'd it'd be.

Pacquiao vs Mayweather is a superfight.

Bute vs _____ is a big fight in Montreal, doesn't matter who it is. Bute vs Miranda sold a lot of tickets man, so will Bute vs Jesse Brinkly.

Natural progression. Bute will be at 175 soon, as will all of the super six guys.

It is an asinine comparison because you're comparing a competitive fight between two guys very close in size that are both P4P fighters to a blown up LW going up two weight classes to fight the best fighter on the planet.

          It's a horrible, horrible comparison.

And you lend more credence to alphabet trinkets than I do. I care more about quality fights than I do unifying useless paper belts.

Its not that no one wants it to happen, its still something I want to see but how is it more meaningful than Dawson/Shumenov? they are basically the same fighter and both have a belt.

What makes Cloud the big challenge for Dawson why not Shumenov, Campillo, or even yes Bute who is better than both Cloud and Shumenov in every way other than maybe power.

I'd bet the farm that Ward and Dirrell will move to 175 one or two fights after the Super Six.

Not based on any real evidence other than some guys go up in weight over time...

MANY people thought Floyd vs Marquez would be competitive. If Dawson schools the **** out of Bute the excuse will simply be Bute was fighting too heavy/Chad picking on smaller guy. Same **** with Floyd/marquez. Other than some money, it's a meaningless fight.

This isn't a case of a single belt or whatever, the idea is to unify all the belts at 175 and have a unified champ. This is what people usually always want in boxing.

That is so false. No one would say that. And this is not like Mayweather-Marquez at all, wtf. Jones-Toney would be a better comparison though neither are at that level.

Shumenov has like 8 fights and has never fought on HBO. But yes, at some point (if he still has the belt) absolutely that needs to happen.
