he's already made major paydays fighting clubfighters. he made $900,000 vs Andrade last November (GBP won that bid for 1.2 million and change) and was probably also paid a percentage of the HBO money, PPV canada $ and/or a portion of the 17,000 people gate. He probably made good money vs Miranda, with an attendance just under 13,000. I am from Montreal and heard the PPV numbers in Canada were very good, plus HBO must have paid decent cash for that fight on WCB (semi-final).

i don't see him fighting for less than a million per fight (against glorified sparring partners!)

That's true. He gets a ton of cash but not so much recognition and legacy. Kinda like Ottke and Calzaghe. Staying at home fighting subpar opposition.

not really by choice, though. stieglitz won't fight him, sartison declined to fight him, pavlik dissed him, and the top super middles are in a tourney he was not invited to. hard to feel sorry for the guy though lol

It's not like he'll get lot's of recognition fighting Stieglitz, Sartison or Pavlik anyway. Apart from Chad Dawson the main players are in the supersix.

I hope he fights one of the 2 elimated fighters even though that's not very likely given the paydays he collects fighting weaker men.

butt hurt bat on his hate tour

Bute's goal is to make it to the HOF and become a 2 division champion when he's done spanking the other top super middleweights

you don't become a HOFer beating up bums
            Bute doesn't duck or hide

2501. You were going on record that you will give Floyd full credit for beating Mosley on May 1st and that whoever discredits him is not a real boxing fan.

Well here you are subtly saying he didn't fight Mosley until Mosley was "battle-worn" from fighting the other WW's.

How can a boxing fan have some hate against Bute, he's a great fighter to watch, serious about boxing, respect his opponents "he's a friend of Andrade", respect boxing fans... he's also an undeafeted WC...

Andrade is a very good friend of Bute

Although I dont think its fair to make him #1 at 168, his record is underrated. How he was able to take out Andrade and Miranda like he did outshines what Kessler(against Andrade), Abraham and Ward(against Miranda) did.
lets not forget that Bute also beat Bika better than Calzaghe did(underrated win) as well. and most people overlook this win, but Alejandro Berrio was a good win as well.(Berrio has a TKO wins over Yusaf Mack Rob Stielglitz)

although I would have to say that Ward's dominant win over Kessler kind of should put him above Bute.
last time i checked, kessler didnt get KO'ed by Andrade......and didnt need 2 fights to embarrass him.....
