Is Lucian Bute the luckiest man in boxing right now?

While the best of his division are beating the **** out of each other, He gets to fight other men in the division which fighters in the super six have already beaten. All while he's proclaimed as the best in the division. He just has to sit back, Wait until the super six is over and once the winner or runner up comes out of it, He'll have them right where he wants them. Tired and battle worn.

    Nice Mayweather tactic.

Floyd "Vacation" Mayweahter wouldn't fight Mosley, Margarito and Cotto until they beat the **** out of each other. He's doing the same with Pac.

So Lucian Bute is the next Mayweather?

It's bull**** that people even say he's the best of the division.

Lennox Lewis said Bute was the best supermiddleweight.

        I agree with 2501, that's a mayweather tactic.

I'd rate most of the S6 above him at smw except AA (and green) who hasn't done there much really

Lucian Bute isn't that good compared to the rest of 168. How Ring Magazine still has him at #1 is beyond me.

So from your opinion, who's the best ? The Super 6 or Bute ? you're mad cause he might beat the **** out of those Super 6 and you're already finding a excuse for it, wow. Bute isn't scared of any one, he's not choosing opponents either, Kessler didn't want to fight Miranda for some obscure reasons "fear" so Bute fought Miranda and kicked his ass. Those super 6 boxers are great athletes and don't worry for them, they won't be tired and battle worn. Go in a boxing gym and ask ANY trainer if you don't believe me, when Bute will fight some of those guys they will be ready to fight.

Bute is actually a pretty damn good fighter, its a shame hes not fighting the super six guys.

Although I dont think its fair to make him #1 at 168, his record is underrated. How he was able to take out Andrade and Miranda like he did outshines what Kessler(against Andrade), Abraham and Ward(against Miranda) did.
lets not forget that Bute also beat Bika better than Calzaghe did(underrated win) as well. and most people overlook this win, but Alejandro Berrio was a good win as well.(Berrio has a TKO wins over Yusaf Mack Rob Stielglitz)

although I would have to say that Ward's dominant win over Kessler kind of should put him above Bute.

Yes and the S6 can't be considered the best at 168 until they fight him. The winner should be #1 ranked but not given Ring distinction until a fight with Bute happens or he gets derailed because he has been looking good lately.

This is why I could never rank Bute as the top fighter. While he kayos bums likes Miranda and Andrade, the guys in the Super Six are laying it all the line against each other. If Bute wants some props he needs to get Dawson to move down or move up and fight Dawson. No way is he getting love from me just because he is knocking out the back end top 10 fighters.
