Bute is mediocre and over rated. Wait till he faces adversity outside of Canadia.

What ? That ****** post is saying a lot about you :1. You have never fought in a boxing ring. 2. You think that here in Montreal, Quebec, Canada we never have good fighters who come to fight. 3. You know nothing about boxing.

      Me:1. I started boxing 30 years ago. 2.The first fight i saw was Duran-Leonard in Montreal... 3.

I feel the same way, and I think he's ranked #1 SMH.

Although I dont think its fair to make him #1 at 168, his record is underrated. How he was able to take out Andrade and Miranda like he did outshines what Kessler(against Andrade), Abraham and Ward(against Miranda) did.
lets not forget that Bute also beat Bika better than Calzaghe did(underrated win) as well. and most people overlook this win, but Alejandro Berrio was a good win as well.(Berrio has a TKO wins over Yusaf Mack Rob Stielglitz)

although I would have to say that Ward's dominant win over Kessler kind of should put him above Bute.
I do like bute but just because he fought better against them guys doesnt mean that he could beat ward, AA, kessler or Calzaghe!!! The only way of knowing weather he could beat them is to see him fight these guys!!!

As for him being a lucky man I would have to say he is pretty lucky to be sitting back watching the rest of them take each other out!!! I think bute would have done ok in the super six but i dont see him winning!!!

We can't hate on Lucian Bute b/c he's the product of an outstanding promotional team.

Kelly Pavlik called this one from day 1 when he said the winner of the Super 6 would be fighting their next fight on HBO and more than likely it would be against him lol.

What poor Pavlik didn't know is that he would be blasted by Martinez and HBO signing Lucian Bute as an insurance plan should Pavlik perform like he did against BHOP and so we wait
while Bute's team continue to feed him war torn fighters and pretend he's Canadian version of Joe Calzaghe (he's even a southpaw) but at least he racking in the KOs when put up against subpar fighters.

Bute has his super loyal fans in Montreal and can make a millions for every fight in the coziness of his hometown. Entering the super6 would probably be a step down for him financially. He is now backed by HBO and making millions.

From a financial standpoint, I cannot blame him for what he is doing. He is making more money than the the Super6 right now. As a fan though it means we lose. Hopefully when they are all done with each other he will face off against at least a couple of them.

there's no way eliminated fighters can participate in other boxing events. showtime would be crazy to not sign every boxer until the last day of the tourney. you think they want an eliminated kessler, abraham or froch fighting bute or anyone else on HBO on or near their final event?

sorry boys, this is basic contract 101 stuff. bute's team better not be waiting around for some of these guys to get eliminated or they're in for a nasty surprise

I don't think he's lucky. If he was my favourite fighter I'd rather have him participating in the tournament than standing on the outside looking in. While waiting for the supersix to conclude Bute is forced to fight clubfighters while running the risk of losing his title and a major payday.
