The Pirog/Jacobs scorecards were an absolute disgrace

Agreed. I think I had it quite even (but it was about 4am so I can't be 100% sure)
But at the end of the day Pirog took it outta the hands of the judges like a good pro is suppose to.Comment

I wouldn't call it a disgrace, although I see no way in anyone having Jacobs ahead. I had it 3-1 Pirog, but...
Having it even after 4 rounds is perfectly reasonable. The first round was, like a lot of first rounds, a toss up. Depending on who you scored it for, the most logical scorecard in my opinion was either a draw, or Pirog one round ahead. The arguments for Jacobs activity to win both rounds 1 and 4 are a bit unreasonable because, all compubox stats aside, the viewer knew exactly who was in control of the fight, and who was dictating the tempo.
But either way, Pirog wisely left it out of the judges hands, and there's not much more to it.Comment

you dont usually win rounds when your opponent is landing more. pirog landed only 43 punches in 4 and a bit rounds at 18%. thats probably why he wasnt winning on the cards. if you are landing half or close to half of your power shots then your usually gonna win the fight. jacobs was doing that (51/120 = 43%) pirog (27/127 = 21%) so when you look at it like that, its easy to see why jacobs was winning on the cards.Comment

Pirog did a good job but can he back it up or will he disappear into obscurity? Jacobs looked like he wasnt ready for the fight and was not moving great, he couldnt stamp his authority in any way on the fight, its not easy fighting against an awkard style, but i doubt pirog would have got a decision anyway, there was some cooking brewing up id say alriteComment

Jacobs was **** in there. Pirog had his way with him.
But LOL @ scoring rounds based on what you think "should have happened".Comment
