Funny of how both Martinez and Pirog wanna take a risk while Williams wants to sit on the couch and say everybody fears him.

They just seem to be hassling Martinez more than an other champ. He was forced to vacate his lmw belt (I know that wasn't HBO's fault) and is not allowed to face a mandatory it seems for some reason. Some of these other "champions" go almost a year without facing any real opponents while HBO forces Martinez to fight certain fighters that they deem acceptable. I feel that they wish to get him out of the picture because he has beaten some of their stars or made them look bad and thus taken away their earning potential. Same thing with Pirog now, since he has beaten Jacobs- another HBO star in the making. HBO is going to want one of them to disappear, what better way than to have both of the foreign party ******s fight each other?

Agreed. You can add Dzinziruk-Anglo WBO situation into that equation.

Does Martinez have an exclusive contract w/ HBO? Can Showtime entertain any offers? At this point its becoming quite apparent that Williams is doing his best impression of Mayweather and avoiding the tough fights...if HBO is an unwilling partner for a Sergio vs. Options A, B or C then how about Showtime...Pirog is an old head...might as well see if he's the real deal or not...I'm sure he feels the same...his awkward style and KO power will give Martinez some problems.

Let Williams be a freak 6'3 dude avoiding the big boys...he needs to fight Martinez and Cintron...two guys that didn't get the nod against that lanky bastard

I like this fight. Pirog was un underdog coming to this fight too but he won. Give him a chance with the real champ of this division

I still want to see Dzinziruk fight Martinez, Angulo, Williams or Spinks to see who sits where in that division. Pirog can get hyped up heavily in the states on Showtime or HBO if he doesn't hog that belt over in Russia. He can get some reputation building fights(Manfredo Jr, Marco Antonio Rubio) and make a huge fanbase here. I don't think that throwing him into the fire against Martinez RIGHT NOW makes any sense.

Too soon. Much too soon. He beat Danny Jacobs, not Paul Williams.
