He knocked Jacobs into Kingdom Come!!! No matter what Jacobs says, he was not in any condition to continue!!!! I would like to see Piroq against Martinez or Williams...
we would never know cause of the ref it was not a pac/hatton knockout. he was ready to attempt to stand up the 5 count

Why would Martinez choose to fight a dangerous no-name opponent when he could be about to make career high paydays? Makes little sense business-wise...

I was as excited about Pirog as anyone else last night, but let's not forget Jacobs was 3-1 up in the cards (rightfully, I think) and Martinez is a whole other caliber. I am pretty sure Martinez would win this matchup.

I think people are getting a little carried away with Pirog. OK, that KO was a only a matter of time but he was still 3-1 down against a prospect who looked, and fought, like someone way in over their head.

The way Lampley was drooling over the head movement you'd think you had Duran or Whitaker in there. (Lampley was just appalling all night, right from the disowning of Linares before his fight).

Hopefully Pirog is the real deal, as the MW division could really do with more talent. But Martinez didn't crumble under the pressure of Williams and Pavlik, I don't think he's gonna ****ting himself at the thought of Pirog.

First round was too close to call, but it didn't look to me like Jacobs landed a single clean punch. Second round Pirog worked him over and was robbed of a knockdown where Jacobs had to literally hold on to Pirog's legs to keep from hitting the canvas. Third round Jacobs came back strong, clear win for him. Fourth round Pirog landed the only meaningful punch, could go either way.

So Pirog should've been up a point or down a point depending on whether or not you gave Jacobs both close rounds. Which is meaningless of course, since Jacobs got KTFO.

Nevertheless, I think Pirog is a bit green for Martinez, though Sergio isn't getting any younger, so if this fight happens a year or two down the road, who knows?

Are you crazy? No one leaves Al Haymon. He's one of the most powerful men in the sport, and he maximizes fighters visibility and value.

Martinez will duck him JUST like he ducked Dzinziruk.

Paul Williams is ducking the whole 154 and 160 lb divisions right now.
