Martinez is 35 years old. Pirog, who just made a career high 50 grand, would be an insane career choice for him right now, even if it is almost a guaranteed win for Sergio.

I will say this right now. Experience or no experience, Pirog can hang with the big boys right now. His ring generalship is massive. He was so relaxed and calculating. That guy is ready for the big stage. His style alone will give anyone a hard time. Anyone with big holes in their game would be in an uphill battle against him.

The only thing he needs to work on is his punch output. He is so relaxed and patient that he can get outworked

Please don't do this. Not quite yet. Pirog a future superstar but Martinez is one of the best on the planet. Give Pirog a fight or two against some more top level comp before putting him in with the best.

Why the hell are people suggesting against this fight? Martinez decided to keep his 160 title so he needs to fight the best out there. If HBO won't let him fight Angulo, then how would they let him fight some random bum? And Pirog is the only other good fighter at 160 I can think of if you want me to be honest.

damn u used to be a pretty good poster till williams decided to duck martinez and u stood by him, admirable as a fan but foolish as a poster imo

williams was dzinziruk's mandatory when he beat philips, sergei's dispute with universum didnt happen till months later so williams couldve fought him then

if anyone ducked dzinziruk it was williams lol

Martinez was gonna fight Angulo, but HBO's ***** asses don't want it to happen. And now Martinez's own promoter is chasing after a fight with Pirog and Burner says Martinez is gonna duck him? Lol. What a tool.

And this is after Mr. got three weight divisions frozen in fear is tucking his tail between his legs and going into the shallow waters.

In most of his fight he routinley throws 90+ punches a round.

To be fair, when Martinez gave his list of 9 ppl he'd fight, naming guys like Martirosyan, Chavez jr, Cintron, Mosley, Mora. Dzinziruk's was shockingly absent.
lol that is really messed up, Mosley, Mora, Chavez jr

I think the Russian is up to the task . He didn't get hit much and he has missles in both hands . Williams or Martinez are both trying to figure out a way to avoid this guy . If you
need help thinking of a reason to duck Pirog , ps call Gayweather at 1-800-***** !

Williams don't want any Pirog (which means "cake" in Russian) just like he didn't want any Dzinzhurik.

Martinez has the balls to face him, from what I saw, Pirog takes him out.

Paul Williams should get kicked to the curb by HBO if he don't man up and fight Martinez. And HBO shouldn't penalize Martinez because he wants to fight the best. Before the first fight happened, I was rooting for Williams. But if the rematch happens, I might change my rooting interest.
