errr.. sorry about that..but yeah, great fight.

I may be in the minority, but I think Pirog ices him.

He's moar then ready with all the amateur exp. he has and his calm style in the ring.
I think so too Jack, keep in mind Sergio is not a real MW even and Pirog from what I saw just has so many tools with which he can give Sergio problems not to mention he can crack.

He won't ever know if he's good enough to ''hang'' with peeps of that caliber until he...steps into the ring with them...He's 30, not 19...lets make it happen

Pirog ? Do you really know who is that guy ?

Because Jacobs was overrated to sell tickets, we don't know if Pirog is that good. Pirog did a spectacular KO because Jacobs made so many mistakes + the fact that it was the FIRST time he fought a guy who have power in his punch. I don't blame Jacobs, he obviously don't understand what's going on right now.

Yeah you have a point but why not a fight with a guy like Sturm or another fight with a tough prospect like Korobov to show that he isnt a one hit wonder and also to build up the fight with Martinez.

The KO wasn't the best thing about Pirog's performance.

It was the fact he completely neutralised Jacobs' speed and skills. He bullied Jacobs around the ring, shoulder rolling and blocking punches coming in then countering from angles.

He actually isn't, Jacobs is a good fighter but I guess he lost 1 fight so he must be a bum because this is after all boxing.

Pirog was impressive but Martinez has tools that Pirog won't be able to deal with himself. Once the sneaky left lands and cuts Pirog, we'll see how calm he is in the ring. I think Martinez knocks him out because Pirog is a pressure fighter and will keep coming in for more until Martinez rocks him silly. Late stoppage for Martinez or decision victory should they fight in October.

I have this feeling that because Martinez throws at awkward angles too, he's going to end up leaving himself open for a big punch from Pirog.

A KO is always the best thing since it makes you win without the very honest judges decisions... but the fact the he controlled Jacobs is even worse, ive been boxing for 30 years and Jacobs looked like an amateur against Pirog. To prove my point about the KO thing, what does Hagler had to do to win ? Hagler hated decisions cause he lost some fights that he should have won !
