jacob was going to get up ,i take nothing away from pirog he was beating danny landing the harder blows , i think danny hit the canvas and stoped and thought about it like am i really down here it was probally his first time down who wouldnt be like damn i never wanted this to happen i dont think he was out cold he could have got up i think he may of lost by tko,ko or decision or just got up on chicken legs and the fight would have been called

What a ridiculous article, he was coherant at 5 and would have got up if the ref didnt stop him. Not saying it would have lasted much longer buts its a championship fight, you give the guy a 10 count. Horrible stoppage!

i agree the ref we didnt even get to see what the young dude was made of. his adversity came and the ref and didnt let him respond not bc he couldn't but the ref didn't let him. hope he come back stronger cause some your hating.your gotta agree the stoppage was alittle early.

That's pure speculation and I'm a Jacobs fan. Just because the ref held him doesn't mean he was able to get up at all. He could have tried and never made it up or fallen right back down. Nobody could know for sure.

Was rooting for Jacobs. Props to Pirog, excellently fought fight.

I really didn`t like the way the fight ended. The best man won and it`s ok, but I didn`t get how the ref stopped the mandatory count and pushed Jacobs back to the canvas when Daniel tried to get up.

P.S. did anybody else saw how faster Pirog looked in this fight?

Pirog looked terrific. Pirog has head and upper body movement that u don't see from European fighter. Looked like an old school American fighter. Jacobs looked over matched. Pirog hurt Jacobs early and boxed his shoes off all night long. Pirog looks to be the goods, showing outstanding skill, really good defense and punching power. I'm saying right now that he not only beats Felix Sturm, but would give both Sergio Martinez and Paul Williams all they could handle.

Pirog looks to be for real, and looks like he would be a handfull for ANYONE. So why everyone is discounting Jacobs is beyond me. He is a very good young fighter, whom got beat by a more mature better fighter, at this point of their careers. I think he only gets better from this fight. By the way, he has no control over any hype there is on him, same as Ortiz, but both are good young fighters that got beat by better older fighters, nothing to be ashamed of.

Stop hatin!!! Danny Jacobs is a "FRAUD" and got KTFO... Count of 5 or 105 he was done and had no clue where he was, thinking he was in Brooklyn when he looked up at the ref... Another Al Haymon" invention built on stiffs and the first time he stepped up he got flattened, end of story.....
