That's exactly how Pirog fights all the time. Why have so many people never watched just one of his fights on youtube? There are like 6.

Ahahaha, when a camp has to rely soley on YouTube to prepare a fighter for an opponent, you know the camp's fighter is in trouble. C'mon man, nobody knew what Pirog was bringing to the table...don't pretend like you did either.

Very impressive win for Pirog. I was utterly shocked!! But let's not get carried away here. Jacobs is coming off a devastating family tragedy, which surely messed with his psyche. Plus, nobody and their mama thought Pirog would come in with this style. As for you Eastern Euro haters, look through boxing history and Americans clearly own it with a plethora of ALL-TIME GREATS!!!

Was rooting for Jacobs. Props to Pirog, excellently fought fight.

I really didn`t like the way the fight ended. The best man won and it`s ok, but I didn`t get how the ref stopped the mandatory count and pushed Jacobs back to the canvas when Daniel tried to get up.

P.S. did anybody else saw how faster Pirog looked in this fight?

I was worried that coming to the US only 1 week before might cause him to be sluggish. Looked great though, he doesn't have the fastest hands but i think alot of ppl were over the top with the "slow hands" thing

that Pirog guy showed som real cageyness and an awkward effective style of fighting.. Andre and his Havoc fighters are having som bad luck this year. First, Curtis stevens now this. I thought Jacobs could be the future at middleweight but he needs to adjust his game and keep his hands up a bit more. he fights these power punchers and he gets caught and he gets put to sleep. hes still only 23 and has time to turn it around..

I did forsee a close verdict going into Jacobs direction b/c of his athletic ability but I have seen Pirog 3-4 times before (and btw wrote the quoted report).
As Jacobs chin had never been proved before there was some doubt in my prediction which was confirmed tonight...

I predicted a Pirog Unanimous Decision. I never once thought he would starch Jacobs out though as he does not seem like a big puncher to me. I did however predict he would frustrate Jacobs and cause him to unravel in there.

He is simply so fluid in there that I cannot think of anyone at Middleweight wanting to fight him. Yes he is a prospect. Yes he still has much more to prove, but he just seems like a special fighter on the rise.
