Hopkins got the better shots in the later part of the fight. He fought a dumb fight and did what he always did by giving up the early rounds and he got caught. Simple as that. If he fought every round, I'd say he would have KO'ed Taylor late in the fight. He fought a dumb fight.

I wouldn't use the term robbery, but I thought Hopkins had the edge, showed great defense and ring savvy, and took over late in the fight.
It looks like its not a great week to be a fighter under the GBP stable...you think the judges are paying back DLH for all his gift decisions???
Anywayz this fight will set-up a beautiful rematch in November and this time I'll definitely buy the PPV!

It was a competitive fight from a perspective but if you look deep into it. Hopkins stood his ground and landed at will on Taylor and conserved his energy. Hopkins didnt fight any different than he had in the past. I had Hopkins winning 7 rounds clearly.

Some people like to argue fight stats, I am not one of those people but if you want to Hopkins beat him convincingly.

By the time Hopkins started winning more than one round at a time Taylor was way ahead on the cards. Hopkins took too long to figure out Taylor and it cost him.

I agree dueski....he waited to long. A round sooner, BH would have won the split, or had a knock down sealing it for him. Oh well, watch for the rematch.

There is no question, a rematch is in the contract if Taylor won.

It wasn't a robbery. Taylor won the early rounds with a lot of energy, but he was tentative and Bernard slipped and ate a lot of shots on the gloves.

Hopkins looked to be letting it slide away but I thought he turned it up in the 9th, stunned Taylor in the 10th and 11th, and clearly won the 12th.

He outlanded Taylor 96-86 in total punches, and 78-50 in power shots.

Numbers never tell the whole story, but I had it 7 rounds to 5 based on cleaner counter shots, supurb defense and ring savvy.

I thought he clearly pulled it out after taking 11 and 12.

Taylor clearly won the fight. I had the fight 116 to 112 to Taylor. Taylor lost alot of blood in the fight & still won the fight. Hopkins was dirty, he was holding & hitting. If anyone think Hopkins won the bight, are either blind or an idiot.
