you really can not expect a very good defense from a fighter who put up an offense like pac's. at the same time you can not expect a defensive fighter to have an offense as good as pac's. it's all about style...defense will always be the opposite of offense even if the world ends tomorrow.

      10/10

look Floyd s face after Hoya fight and look Pacmans.

Hoya broke Floyd s nose and his eye was busted up,Hoya didnt hit Pacman with one decent punch!

I actually think he looked at his absolute best in the De La Hoya fight, as opposed to his last 3. He hasn't demonstrated that same head extreme head movement and careful shot-picking since then, which makes me think that he either hasn't been bothered to try as hard against Hatton, Cotto and Clottey, or in that particular aforementioned fight they focused on head movement more than anything else.

Either way, to me the most complete version of Pacquiao I've seen was against De La Hoya. He did everything right, fought very intelligently in terms of both offence/defence, and didn't make a single mistake. If that Pacquiao shows up against Margarito, the latter is dead meat. However, if we see the risk-tasking Pacquiao who stood leisurely in front of Cotto, I'm thinking "Upset!"

Going by appearance it looked like Pacquiao lost against Clotttey, not a very good defensive fighter, always off balance & gives counter punchers plenty of chances to hit him, his head movement isn't great & is very vulnerable to any sort of straight lead punch.

But as an complete gung-ho offensive fighter, his best defence is his offensive so you'd expect him to get hit a lot.

Skin color plays no part in a boxers defense, if you think that's the case, you should stop watching sports all together.

Here is a little fact for you, Pacquiao gets busted up practically every fight he is in. Defense....yeah, very little. Like i said, a little better than Margacheato and that is not a compliment.

Pacquiao is past it. I noticed this against Cotto, no way he just let Cotto hit him for the hell of it. This is why I think Pacquiao should weigh in no more than 143.

Dumbest contradiction I've read for a while. :laff:

When I think of head/upper body movement these days, I automatically think Pacquiao (or Tyson in slightly older days).

He has average defence, I'd give it about a 6. He is by no means "slick" but its not as if he is open for every shot like some people say it is.

try moving your head side to side in front a mirror. then tell us if you saw any movement.
