if pac will fight all comers, then why wont he fight shane mosley? i dont want to see pac fight cheato. i want to see pac vs shane at 147 and i bet thats the fight most want to see. or pac vs bradley. give the fans what they want. we want to see real fights. not fight with made up divisions for belts undeserved. arum is using pac and making him look bad. i think pac would fight shane but roach and arum wont allow it.

Had Pac fought Mosley even if he won, people will still ridicule pac for fighting an old man instead of Cotto who's much much younger. Do you honestly think fighting Mosley now would be better. C'mon man Pac will be ridiculed for fighting leftovers and an old man.

I disapprove fighting Margarito because of the title on the line but if they'll fight with catchweight with no title it's fine with me. Why are so many people here bash Margarito? When we have known cheaters who's still highly regarded like jones or mosley. Double Standards? Coz he's not an American?

I'm pretty sure if this one will turn out to be a good fight, people will turn their blame back to the one who really chickened out. At the very least we're still treated with a good fight while the other one is back in hiatus.

welterweights start from 140.1 lbs to 147lbs, superwelterweight starts at 147.1lbs to 154 lbs. anywhere within these weight falls in the respective category. The range of weights are there for a reason. It should be pretty basic that a boxing journalist should know this! cotto fought the bigger clottey at 146lbs; pacman fought cotto at 145lbs; that's 1lb difference for the smaller pacman. The point being is, boxers need to agree to the stipulated weight in order for it to push thru. If they don't like the agreed weight they can always say no to a fight. Why are you the one making excuses for these fighters and their trainers??? It's not like a gun is held to their heads and are forced to take the fight. Margarito owns a 5 inch height advantage and a 6 inch reach advantage over pacman. This is essentially a lightweight fighting a superwelterweight. How much do you think will margarito weigh during fight night? Be a man, quit being a ****** journalist and be a responsible one and stop making excuses for these fighters because they are not asking you to make it for them. well, except maybe for floyd... holla at yo boy. peace.

Catch weights are BS and I don't care about Manny's legacy- it doesn't pay my bills. But if the opponent, a grown azz man, signs his name on the contract and agrees to the catch weight then it's on. No looking back

Margarito will sign on to it because it is the biggest pay day he can get and because Arum wants it. He would make 140 if Bob told him to. This is all about handing Pac yet another come forward, slow as ****, plodding fighter to destroy to look like Jesus and to "win" another "belt" so they can sell him as an 8 division champ. That way Pac gets more money, Bob gets more money, and boxing loses from another one sided PPV that everyone who has watched more then 100 fights can see coming.
