Hey, I speak to some people close to Cotto and apparently he has been telling arum to make a fight with Floyd since 07'. apparently arum was the one unwilling to negotiate with Mayweather. But Cotto was cool about it because he still got some pretty good fights like Mosley, Margarito,ect, ect, ect.

But Cotto is now some what pissed because he didnt got the fight with Pacquiao and how arum has treat him lately. Thats why he partnered with GBP's to co-promote fights and thats why he is doing so with Mayweather.
From what I was told, they will be disscussing a posible fight whether arum likes it or not. If arum refuses like in the past, GBP's and Cotto promotions are preparing to buy out Miguel's Contract. They both want to fight a credible name worth a fight $$$$ wise.


So dont be shock if this actualluy comes off. Miguel is realy pissed at arum and his antics.

Cotto-DLH co-promotion agreement started before the whole Pac rematch thing. I do hope Cotto is negotiating a fight with Floyd.

I want to see this fight, it might not be the dream fight it would have been 3 years ago but its still very good.

Its part of Floyd's MO to try to exploit fighters while they are at their weakest, but I honestly feel that Cotto has enough in him to give a very competitive fight. Also, lets not re-write history...Arum might be scum, but Floyd had no interest in fighting Cotto from 2007 until now.

Floyd Wasnt in the top 10 being retired, Hatton was #10 at best and where was DLH.

I would rather have him face the best at their best weights during thier primes, then see fights where hes moving up and down weight divisions to face fighters that are worse just to make more money.

Na, I don't think so. If Judah with 6 losses can still be talked about in the mix at 140..Cotto with 3(if He fought and lost to Mayweather) losses would still be in the mix at 147 and 154.
