Interesting Opinion Why Mayweather Pacquio fight Wont Happen

Great read. As i've said before, if Pacquiao goes on to fight a Cotto or Margarito and doesn't manage to break 1 million ppv buys, he better just bend over and get ready to be ****ed in the ass in the next negotiation, cause no one will buy Arum trying to control the negotations again without a leg to stand on.

Ur right about my opinion & everyone else's,I never said anyone else's opinion don't matter,mine is however that I feel Floyd really doesn't want the fight!!I don't think he ever gave a good reason to suspect or demand additional testing to begin with!!But regardless of how U or I feel,this is the problem with boxing,more drama than fighting,that's why neither 1 of them is my favorite fighter!!Fight fans shouldn't be arguing about why Floyd or Manny is right,we should be enjoying the outcome of this showdown!!But instead we argue about who's right & who's wrong,between 2 pompous man-divas,it's really sad!!

True. But mayweather pac isn't boxing its big business. Cotto pac and floyd mosley was boxing. Unfortunately for the boxing fans we have to deal with all the business bull****, which usually we don't deal with.

Good point. I don't see beating Pac as elevating floyd. IMO, when floyd beats him the talk will be about what manny lacked rather than what floyd has, just like shane. SSM went from the #1 ww in the world to a 38 yr old bum.

Because floyd is so polarizing he may not get full credit until he either changes his style or loses. The funny thing to me, many people share your thought that floyd would be elevated as an ATG if he beats manny, yet those same people will pick floyd to win anyway. SHouldn't they be picking manny?

Totally disagree there. Floyd beating Pacquiao would be a big stamp on Floyd's career, otherwise this fight wouldn't be as anticipated as it already is. The stakes for both fighters are huge and it's the biggest fight in both fighters' careers. How would that not elevate Floyd with a win?

The reason why people have criticized Floyd in the past several years is because of his selection of opponents and guys he didn't fight (you can be the judge of that if you'd like). But now he'd be facing arguably the #1 P4P fighter in the world who's popularity spans beyond the US, multiple division champion (like Floyd), is a proven PPV seller (like Floyd), huge fan base, etc. I believe Floyd knows this as well.

If you can't bother to read then why bother posting. The writer gives his opinion why the fight won't happen. If you think its floyd's fault fine. As far as not fighting cotto, marg, and ssm i'm sure you know the real reasons why they didn't occur or occured late. My guess is you ignore those facts and just go with its floyd's fault.

As for pac not having trouble making a fight there is no way you could possibly know this. floyd doesn't have to prove you or anyone wrong.

BTW, I see you end with a Bob Arum quote. Put Bob's quote about floyd when floyd was with top rank. It went like this: "honestly, floyd has the most skills i've ever seen in boxing. more than ali, more than leonard!"

The sad thing is I actually think he could beat Manny but he just does'nt have the balls to test himself. It's sad and such a waste of a talent. I thought I specified the reasons. But look at it this way, floyd has beaten at ww the lineal champ, the guy who was lineal champ before him, and the consensus #1 at the weight already. Does he really ahve to beat another ww to prove himself?

He will be the betting favorite by a significant margin (maybe 3-1 or 4-1 same as mosley). If he loses its a big deal. If he wins, its expected. And,as I said before, I thinkmost people will say floyd won not because of his skills, but because of what manny lacked. I could be wrong but I've watched this happen time and time again. And yes, its part floyds fault because most fans don't like arrogance.

IMO, many of the writers that put manny as p4p#1 do so, in part, because they dislike the way floyd carries himself. Yes in the past few years he has selected certain opponents, thats what EVERY great fighter has done once they reach the point floyd has. But we know the REAL reasons why those fights didn't take place. To be honest with you, anyone arguing that floyd should've fought Marg (2 fights removed from losing to daniel santos)or Cotto instead of ZAb and Baldo at that time just doesn't get this business.

I respect your point. I want to see this fight badly. But you have to admit some guys will just never give floyd props because they don't like him personally.
