lol @ the gullible people and *******s who are falling for this ****

whats so hard to understand? bob arum is making floyd look like the bad guy here. the fact is this: the original deal is OFF THE TABLE

since proposing the original offer (that pacquaio declined), mayweather has beaten mosley, which makes his stock go up

its like this, pretend i have a car that i want to sell you. i offer the car for 30,000 dollars and you tell me NO and decline the offer. a few weeks pass and it turns out that my car becomes a collectible. now its value has increased and is now worth 60,000 dollars. all of a sudden your ***** ass comes crawling back and says "hey! you still selling that car?? ill buy it off you for 30,000!"

time out mother****er, the terms have changes, and the original offer is off the table

this is exactly what happened with may/pac. mayweather beat mosley, which changed the terms of the original deal. if pac wasnt a scared little *****, he wouldve accepted the first offer. anyone who doesnt see this is a bling pac nut hugger

Plain and simple. Its like 7 card poker. After the 6th card Bob had 3 kings and bet heavy. Scaeffer had 2 aces and the last king. On the 7th card Scaeffer got the 3rd Ace and bob didn't get a full house, flush or straight. So Bob tried to steal the pot by big betting. Scaeffer just called him and took his dough.

He will be the betting favorite by a significant margin (maybe 3-1 or 4-1 same as mosley). If he loses its a big deal. If he wins, its expected. And,as I said before, I thinkmost people will say floyd won not because of his skills, but because of what manny lacked. I could be wrong but I've watched this happen time and time again. And yes, its part floyds fault because most fans don't like arrogance.

IMO, many of the writers that put manny as p4p#1 do so, in part, because they dislike the way floyd carries himself. Yes in the past few years he has selected certain opponents, thats what EVERY great fighter has done once they reach the point floyd has. But we know the REAL reasons why those fights didn't take place. To be honest with you, anyone arguing that floyd should've fought Marg (2 fights removed from losing to daniel santos)or Cotto instead of ZAb and Baldo at that time just doesn't get this business.

I respect your point. I want to see this fight badly. But you have to admit some guys will just never give floyd props because they don't like him personally.
You're looking into it too much about the specifics rather than how it would be looked at in the history of Boxing and both fighters' careers after everything is said and done. If Floyd fights and beats Pacquiao, that'll be the fight people will talk about 10-20 yrs from now when mentioning Floyd or Pacquiao, just like how people mention Hagler with Leonard, or De la Hoya with Trinidad, or Ali & Frazier. It's that type of fight. You don't hear people today talk about the contract specifics (though both had their own history of issues) of Hagler and Leonard more than the actual fight itself.

Mayweather NEVER wanted the fight. He came to cherry pick on lightweights, found out the cherry wasn't ripe.

The man is leaving $40 mil, for a man with "Money" on his name. That says it all.

Everyone predicted this would be a hard fight to make cos of PBF. Why didnt PBF want to prove people wrong?

Are you serious? Pac is known to be one of the worst fighters to negotiate with in boxing today, if not quite easily the very worst. He is impossible to negotiate with because he refuses to do anything with any compromise for what someone else brings or wants.

You think Mayweather/MOsley was bad, try understanding what happened during Hatton/Pac, Cotto/Pac and Clottey/Pac.

Not only but try sitting back and having a genuine think about things from an outside perspective on this fight instead of solely from Arum's press releases (along with Koncz's and Roach's: Do you notice a thread there? All Pac team members).

Try learning something about what happens if you are going to ramble about stuff that you don't actually know exists.

I agree but I don't think it will elevate him. Hagler nor leonard were elevated. I would argue the Hearns fight for both "elevated" them more than this fight. Ali Frazier was the totality of all 3. Trinidad and ODH were not elevated IMO.

Your first sentence may be correct. But I watched floyd totally dominate mosley only to have larry merchant, a guy seen as a caretaker of the sport, try to discredit floyd and the win almost immediately. This didn't happen in the other fights you mention.

Just one caveat, they will mention this fight only if its close. If foyd routs manny like he did shane I don't know. Floyd, unlike the other ATG, does not have compelling fights on his resume.

So Floyd who's contracts are negotiated by Golden Boy who have been negotiating with Bob Arum over the last month and a half just forgot to tell Floyd "oh by the way we are negotiating the Pacman fight with Arum"?

That makes no ***ing sense whatsoever!

It's pretty obvious Larry isn't gonna discredit Floyd before the fight happens he gots a PPV to sell. I'm really sure HBO would be happy with him if he said this fight was a crock.

The infamous pistol whip. What's good? Larry disses floyd before, after and during fights.
