Floyd's inaction speaks louder than words on this one.

Was there an offer, negotiations between reps and subsequent agreement on the terms or as the excuse would be there was no knowledge on Floyd's part?

From the very begining,Right when the possibility of this fight came into play,Floyd wanted additional testing,I have not forgotten that!!Pacman has never tested positive for anything before that!!In my opinion Floyd couldn't believe how Manny could perform so well at the higher weights & assumed he was using performance enhancing drugs!!That sounds like he really was hesitant to fight him!!That's the way I see it & my mind won't be changed!!If I was an elite athlete & someone just came out the blue making unwarranted assumptions about me,I'd take offense as well,there was never any reason for Floyd to simply assume Manny couldn't perform that well naturally,period!!

I get you feel there is no valid reason to accuse manny, but could it be that you are blinded? Look dude Shane mosley was my dude after Marvin hagler and floyd because he beat ODH and I hate oscar. He was just like manny, respectful, fought anyone, etc etc. and he ended up juicing. Doesn't mean manny will but this is a job. A lot of us would do anything to keep our jobs and make a smuch money as possible.

While I don't think manny is on PED's, I think his flip flopping reason for not taking tests and his refusal to sue espn/teddy atlas/ny daily news/ tim smith for saying he sent over a an email asking what would punsihment be if he tested positive has raised concerns.

I think bob makes floyd cotto. Why? Biggest fight available for Top Rank and it wont hurt Bob if cotto loses because top rank has juan manuel lopez, who I think is more popular with the PR demographic. Cotto gets his biggest payday by far.

Then Bob can do Cotto Marg because cotto will have the floyd rub.

IMO, if they can't make Pac vs Floyd, I doubt Floyd would entertain fighting Cotto and doing business with Arum. On the flipside, Cotto would take a significant lower purse (which Floyd would love) and I'm sure he'd do the drug testing. My thing is there's really no luster there as opposed to what a Pac vs Floyd fight would've been or in the case where it was Floyd who beat Pacquiao which really would've elevated Floyd's status as an ATG. Him beating Cotto now IMO won't do anymore than him beating Mosley. Good win, but will still come with a lot of question marks.

I was wondering how the lawsuit situation was going to pan out. It doesnt seem like the fight is going to happen, and we need this fight. No ther fight will do, not at all. So, hopefully it will come together, but i doubt it.

Ur right about my opinion & everyone else's,I never said anyone else's opinion don't matter,mine is however that I feel Floyd really doesn't want the fight!!I don't think he ever gave a good reason to suspect or demand additional testing to begin with!!But regardless of how U or I feel,this is the problem with boxing,more drama than fighting,that's why neither 1 of them is my favorite fighter!!Fight fans shouldn't be arguing about why Floyd or Manny is right,we should be enjoying the outcome of this showdown!!But instead we argue about who's right & who's wrong,between 2 pompous man-divas,it's really sad!!

Good point. I don't see beating Pac as elevating floyd. IMO, when floyd beats him the talk will be about what manny lacked rather than what floyd has, just like shane. SSM went from the #1 ww in the world to a 38 yr old bum.

Because floyd is so polarizing he may not get full credit until he either changes his style or loses. The funny thing to me, many people share your thought that floyd would be elevated as an ATG if he beats manny, yet those same people will pick floyd to win anyway. SHouldn't they be picking manny?

If you get a chance please read this. Paragraphs 5 and 6 The writer explains why he thinks the fight wont happen and how the fallout will be handled in the press.

I like many on this board have strong opinions about this fight happening. I thought this reasoning made sense. I don't know the writer that well and don't know if he is pro floyd or pro pac. It seemed like he was being objective.
