If he indeed fights a "solid" fighter like arum said and wins impressively whether by ko or domination en route to a ud then I'll give him a fair chance at beating Pav but if he faces an unknown journeyman and Pavlik has no problems making 160 for the fight then Jr might be in a world of trouble.
    Yea good point.

After Jnr's next fight we will have a better gauge on him.

        It looks that way.

        Just like Clottey/Pacquiao

Arum tried to do that with Cotto-Foreman but it back fired.

He planned on feeding Pac to Valero when Pac was past his prime.

It amazes me that many people acknowledge the fact that Bob Arum is a dirty **** who cannot be trusted..... but cannot see what happened in the Clottey/Pacquiao fight?

Folks should read Cliff Rold's article on Josh Clottey written Nov 2009.

He did not describe the Clottey that I saw take part in that fight

When Arum dies, and is waiting at the pearly gates for someone to let him in..... he better pray that God is not a boxing fan.

Classic line! Better yet,Maybe Arum will go to a hell where Cotto ****s him for shafting him on the Pacquiao deal (the catchweight for his title!)!

Any intelligent person would think that Pac/Clottey was suspect but if Chavez beats Pavlik that would solidify it. Arum is a snake and not to be trusted cause aint no way in hell Chavez Jr. should beat Pavlik.

That's 5 months away. Hopefully both have a fight in between.
