Damn, Kelly Pavlik fell off. Arum's gonna use him as Chavez's steppingstone

So even if he wins this, I think his career has probably peaked. Great fight, though.
Even though it probably has peaked and he is on the downslide, he still has made millions of dollars, won a world title and gave fans some exciting fights. I consider that a very successful career.

I wonder how Jr will receive a Pavlik right hand on the chin. Jr moves no where near as good as Martinez.

It's gonna be interesting to say the least.

I see this as a typical cross roads fight. Not for nothing, I think Kelly Pavlik is going to be a big issue for Chavez Jr. and will have some awesome moments. I like Kelly Pavlik but I think staying at 160 will be the thing that helps Chavez Jr win this fight. Of course, the Ariza juice will also be a factor.. (j/k).

I'm still not sold on Jr. His best victory was against a mediocre fighter in John Duddy. Not to take any credit away from him because a lot of people thought he was gonna catch a beating and be exposed by duddy. Good that he proved the people wrong. If he indeed fights a "solid" fighter like arum said and wins impressively whether by ko or domination en route to a ud then I'll give him a fair chance at beating Pav but if he faces an unknown journeyman and Pavlik has no problems making 160 for the fight then Jr might be in a world of trouble.

                Hang on.

Pavlik staying at 160 (despite all the post fight excuses about it killing him to make the weight) but won't rematch Martinez. He doesn't want his titles back or the chance to avenge his defeat, he's gonna fight Chavez Jnr instead.

                I smell... *****! *****!

if he walks through pavlik power punches and keep coming with out going down, or being stun then roach and the whole team of chavez is dirty, because there is no way in hell chavez wins this fight. unless kelly is completely done. but even if he is done. he should be able to land some shots that should rock chavez. will see what happens come fight night.
