Comments Thread For: Arum: Pavlik Staying at 160, Facing Chavez Jr. on Dec. 4

According to Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, it's very possible that Kelly Pavlik (36-2, 32 KOs)and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (41-0-1, 30KOs) will collide on December 4 at Cowboys Stadium in Texas. Last week, a report ran on BoxingScene.com that Pavlik was seriously considering the possibility of remaining in the middleweight division. The Youngstown native had previously announced his desire to move up in weight to 168-pounds. After thinking it over, Pavlik came to a decision and informed Top Rank that he would hire a nutritionist and remain at 160-pounds. [Click Here To Read More]

Pavlik has no business staying at 160.

Nevertheless, I see this being a toe-to-toe battle.

IDK seems like his career would be over but then again he could be big in the UK versus Froch or Kessler.
