I don't know if he loses at 147. Niether do you. The issue for me is if you want the respect a multi division champ earns, then go to 147 and get it. Getting titles at 145 and (if it happens) 152 is a b!tch move to me.

ok, if thats the case, then cotto isnt a real 154lb belt holder because he didnt make 154 against yuri foreman...and cotto's last few welterweight fight official weigh-ins (excluding the one against pac) didnt make 147.

alot of fighters do not go into a non title/title fight weighin in at the max limit of their perspective division...thats why they have a weight range limit with a max weight limit.

pac haters used to say (and still is saying) that pac is not a true welterweight because he is not 147...my friends, pac is a true welterweight on the smaller side of the welterweight scale of 141 - 147. besides, i believe pac is the only welterweight that has an OFFICIAL WEIGH-IN and FIGHT NITE WEIGHT that is within the welterweight limit...THAT IS WHAT YOU CALL A TRUE WELTERWEIGHT!!! A true welterweight doesnt/shouldnt come in on fight nite weighin in more than 147. heck, if you wanna come in on fight nite 5 lbs more than the official weigh-in, then come in during official weigh-ins at no more than 142, than bulk up to 147 on fight nite.

I'll have to check and see if Zab has come in at 147 on fight night. He always ways in pretty light. So according to your statement Floyd fighting Oscar at 154 and not weighing 154 means he is a true LMW? I don't think the problem is Pac not coming in at 147 or lower. It's him making Cotto come in at 145. I don't think it would have changed the outcome 145-147. Can you explain why have Cotto at 145 and Clottey who is bigger come in at 147?

You are both ******ed. The fight was close while Cotto was fighting. While the first knockdown was a slip, the second was legit and had a lot to do with balance following a punch. Since joining Steward, his balance issues seem to be gone.

Even Pac admitted that Cotto's body shots were killer, and had they continued, it may have been over.

Fighters make adjustments. You are among the morons who always assume a 2nd fight will happen just as the first. If that were the case, Pavlik would have KO'd Taylor earlier in the 2nd fight than he did in the 1st, Hopkins wouldn't have beaten Jones, Ali wouldn't have beaten Frazier or Spinks, Bowe would have beaten Holyfield in fight #2 (and lost fight #3), and so on.

You are dumb if you assume it will go the same way. Fighters adjust, and Cotto is a legitimate champion. There's no way he'll go in with the exact same game plan as before, nor will he execute the same mistakes as before.

I like Cotto, but him trying to make a statement like this in the boxing ring, is the exact reason why he got beat up in the first place. That Mano y Mano(Machismo) attidude can get you Ko'd as he has already seen. Save the "im not afraid of Pacquioa" statements, we'll know that, if he get in the ring with him again. Maybe this time, if he doesn't come in thinking he's too big and strong for Pac, doesn't accept the fight at a catchweight and fights a smart fight, instead of a ****** one, he can win. I don't know why people can't see that it is Koncz that is pushing for Pac to fight Cotto. He's had over 3 articles now, each one saying "we" (which I think means "Koncz") would probably choose Cotto over Marg. and it was KONCZ that said it would "probably" be at a catchweight. I've said it before, but I don't understand Koncz big push for Cotto (first) as if he has something personally to gain from the fight being made (commision?) To me it sounds like he is trying to convince the general public to like the idea so he can say to Manny "See, everyone wants this." Well, everyone doesn't want this, and I think (and hope) it's far from a done deal. TBH, I think Koncz, Pacs PERSONAL ADVISOR is a snake and even Pacs entire team can't see the use for him. Did Manny owe him for doing something? Because Koncz has proven time and time again that he is NOT a good adivisor, and if Manny can't see that then he has to be blind or foolish.

No one was clamering for a Cotto rematch after their first fight, and the only reason they are talking about it now is because that's all Koncz and Arum keep talking about.

no point in watching cotto get his ass handed to him again. at the very least against margarito there is some doubt whether or not his first fight was legit. so it would answer a lot of questions and not to mention that it would be the most hyped fight in boxing, other than a pacquiao vs floyd fight anyway...
