I dont have any problem with anyone having a different opinion than myself. I try to see why they have their opinion and learn from it. I don't take you to be a blind fan boy/girl like some of the pac and floyd fans. So, that's the reason I asked you questions. They rehydraded Oscar too late but, even if he was hydrated Manny would have beat that ass with his movement. I would love to talk to someone that really thinks that Manny would be Floyd but, in an adult converstation. I see this as the building of Ali/Frazier on paper Ali (Floyd due to style so you little fan boys chill) kicks Frazier's (Manny's) ass but they both brought the best out of each other.
But one thing is clear is that Pacquiao clobbered him in that fight and in the latter rounds, Pacquiao was "fuming" in having to chase him.
This is what Floyd fans see that Pacquiao was "gassing out" while not considering that Pacquiao was "****ing" in the latter part of the early rounds and the middle rounds.
Cotto is a warrior. No doubt, but his body is clearly wasn't there in the fight anymore than his head. There's no shame in losing, and losing isn't a testament of a weak heart.

For one thing Manny Pacquiao has to do many things just to maintain his weight level and that meant it isn't his natural weight. When we went up 7 weight divisions, his weight is being "forced" to go up with it in his natural walking weight but it isn't natural.
Perfect example is his regiments and training that he needs to eat 5 meals a day just to hold the weight. His height and weight isn't a natural and there's nothing for him to concquer below the welterweight division.
His height and weight is already being "pushed" to the max to balance between strength and speed while "operating" comfortably. His accomplishments and while being the champion is a natural attraction and the much sought fighter around.
When he is no longer as potent or as a champion, obviously nobody would want to fight him. Can we all discount or rob him of this opportunity? Of course not.
While he and his team is calling forth for a catchweight fight, again, it is a MUTUAL AGREEMENT. The opponent doesn't have to agree to fight him. Not only it is perfectly legal but a norm to be able to "balance" any kind of advantage based on height and weight. (and reach).

All truth and, I didn't see Pac as gassing out. As far as fuming I agree. It's one thing he gets ticked about is having someone give him movement. I think Cotto has had more stamina issues than Pac. I also think that something that is very underrated in boxing is mental pressure during the fight. It wears you down just as much as getting hit. If you are taking a beating and can't find an answer mentally. It can drain you just as much. Shanes been past it I would even say prior to the Mayorga fight but, when he stunned Mayweather in the 2nd and Floyd kept coming forward and won the rest of the round. I think that had Shane gassed more than the punches. He saw his only chance at KO being eaten up like m&m's. Shane wasn't physically gassed he was mentally gassed not knowing what to do now.

Cotto is an idiot also for agreeing to these catch weight fights with Manny. How does he feel seeing that after he fought Manny at a catch weight, Manny then fought an even bigger Welterweight in Clottey without having Clottey make a catch weight. So now he's about to do this dance all over again? I can't blame Manny too much because if a fighter lets you get away with all these things twice and the fans don't cry an outrage and boycott this nonsense then by all means go for it.

If Cotto wants revenge and Pac wants another division title, fine. But this catchweight madness is bull****. Cotto should know better than to accept it a second time, and Pac's team should know better than to ask for it. If Pac or Margarito don't happen for Pac at 147 and Cotto don't rematch Margarito himself, this fight is ok. But all those options should be secondary for both guys. Understandable if Cotto wants to get even, but I still don't see how he'll be able to win against Pac.

What is "damaged goods" is Hatton AFTER both losing to Mayweather and Pacquiao.
You claiming that he is "getting away" is totally discrediting him. Mayweather is an equally potent and with the best equipped skills/techniques from his natural defensive instincts.
Why can't we all just give credit to both fighters as the best of our era and let them fight? Instead we have to resort to "character assasinations" and minimalizing what one has done.
If anything, all of us here are MOSTLY armchair boxers only alluding to these fighters. If we both discredit Pacquiao and Mayweather then who is left worthy to watch then?
Mind you, Pacquiao and Mayweather both defines our era. I just wanted to fight and not cater towards our own biases and exclusive allegiances.
I am a fan of both but without the other, one cannot be validated to be of great status as fighters.

Your post is one based on an intelligent point of view and not based on emotions. They both really need each other and, without the other one there will always be the question as to who really was the best of our era.

Both fighters in Mayweather and Pacquiao represents the best and the worst of us in so many levels.
And to see that all of us are bashing each other due to these preferences is what is a dismaying issue in boxing today.
Why can't we just appreciate the pugilistic value that both offer? The boxer and the hybrid boxer/slugger?
It is in fact a fortunate thing to witness that if they both fight, we can see who is a better fighter. Notice it doesn't say who is the most "skillful" fighter, who is a "better and stronger boxer", and who has more heart.
All of the above are simply attributes of all of us.
It is just a game but a wonderful that is if we can only put aside all our cynicism.
And thanks much, again.
