With Floyds PPV stats compared to Pac, you can definitely put together a proof plan that Floyd deserves a higher percentage.

    Me personally?

    It should be 50-50.

You are talking about the two absolute best fighters in the world.. in the same weight class... both look just about unbeatable... and they are also the #1 and #2 highest grossing fighters in the sport as well.

It takes two to tango, and you can't make the biggest fight in the history of the sport without the other...

Bob seems intent on "winning" the battle for the mainstream media. His plan seems to be if we can make floyd look like a ducker and a chicken its better for us. That obviously hasn't worked yet Bob sticks to it.

This has raised a red flag for me as well. I've been asking the same thing. Only one side has actually obeyed the gag order (aside from Oscar's comment).

there are really two ways to look at this - you can be optimistic or you can be skeptical. There is no right or wrong way. I'm simply optimistic based on various things that have came out over the past few weeks.
With Arum... I think you can be both.

I can be optimistic about his confident remarks in him wanting to make the fight... I can be skeptical about "we sent Floyd our final offer, the balls in his court".

I think you can be both.

Tell me you can't be skeptical with Bob Arum?

well from my understanding Golden Boy represents Floyd. Golden Boy negotiates with Top rank. Once they agree on terms the proposal is then finally sent off to floyd for his final approval/signature.

This of course is up to debate since GBP hasn't released any official response but that's how it would have gone down.

Respectfully, you are asking floyd to make a bad business deal given the tangible variables that relate to purse split. Manny would almost quadruaple his guarantee from his last fight while floyd would almost double his. Would you do that if you were floyd?

First of all he's a congressman in a different country... so .... no.

Even if they were in the same country..... no.

And nobody is bashing Pacquiao here... we are talking about Bob Arum.

I am unsure if you know his history as a promoter?

I think it's best to be skeptical with ALL promoters, not just arum. I've yet come across a 100% honest, straight shooter of a promoter, lol they just don't exist. They all have their angles, agendas, etc. for obvious reasons.

If this was just Arum saying this and there had been nothing positive reported in the past, I would be much more skeptical than I am now. But like I said there have been quite a few things over the past few weeks that support arums claim.

Fair point fair opinion. I guess I just question when I see a 50/50 split. I can't see anyone on this board, if they were in floyd's position, agreeing to that. Not just because of the numbers. But floyd is gonna have to do the bulk of the promoting given the language barrier and pac's committments at home. 50/50 is patently unfair.
