Not a normal thing, but I thought people should give these two posts a read.

I think it's fairly un-biased reasoning on behalf of the comments that Arum has made in relation to:

"The balls in Floyd court"

well that's what Arum is saying

Schaeffer on the hand said no comment and Leonard could not be reached

so while Bob is saying all these things are in Floyd's court...

put all biases aside

knowing full well Arum's track record (I was lying yesterday today....)

could you possibly see this as more propaganda from Bob?

let's retrace this a bit remember it was Bob who said all negotiations will be done without the media's involvement yet short of a small quip from Oscar, it's been Bob who has been talking about the negotiations.

maybe he realizes the offer is what it is and in an effort to try and look like the ones who made it happen he does exactly what he just did?

remember Top Rank was made to a look a fool the last time this went on. Not Floyd not Manny and not Golden Boy.

while I hope this fight is indeed an approval from Floyd away from going down I am waiting on Schaeffer Floyd or Ellerbee before I put in my request for credential

but timeline this a bit

hasn't Top Rank's side been saying of late either Floyd needs to accept or we move on because Nov is going to approach and they need to get this signed so they can do the press tour etc etc?

now all of a sudden Top Rank now says all sides accept?

basically they went from sounding like this fight wasn't happening to now all parties agreeing and it being up to Floyd.

doesn't mesh to me.

listen I hope I am wrong but to me this screams of Arum trying to win this in the media because he knows Mayweather won't accept the terms that he is being presented

and I disagree with BPP's assessment of the situation as being the only answer.

while yes you can make a case where all sides are in agreement to the principles outlined and it being up to Floyd to sign off on

however, you can also see a scenario where Bob advised Mayweather's side that this is the final offer from Manny's side and they should take it to Mayweather even if they think it won't be approved by him. Since Bob "presented" this offer to Mayweather's side he can say now "hey the ball is in their court we gave them our offer to take to Floyd its up to him" which is essentially what he is saying

and while he states that the issues have been resolved he isn't clear as to which issues. I mean could it not be that maybe HE wants Manny to fight one of his in house fighters first then go into May to fight Mayweather? I mean he is constantly mentioning the aspect of fighting Cotto or Margarito seemingly more than the prospect of fighting Floyd in November or am I mistaken

again I hope this fight happens in Nov but his words are interestingly pieced together to where you can speculate a bit

in all honesty I hope I am reading too much into it but knowing Bob I doubt it

It's amazing when you read well thought out posts from guys like Earner and then the 1-one line trash from posters like treason back to back.

Everything in these "negotations" has come out of Arum's dirty mouth. The only thing I've heard from Ellerbe is "there are no negotiations going on right now" a few weeks back. Outside of a single statement from Oscar De La Hoya nothing has come from any party within the negotiations on this fight.

I'm not holding my breath.
