    Miguel vs Mayweather

    Pac vs Margarito

Floyd has no reason to fight Cotto. He's a draw but nobody wants to see it, Cotto doesnt want the fight and never did and we know Bob Arum definetly doesnt want the fight. So it won't happen, It's more likely we will see Cotto fight Chavez Jr, Vanes Martirosyan, Antonio Margarito or Manny Pacquiao. Since we know all of these fighters are promoted by Bob "In House" Arum.

I think Cotto at this moment is a great option #2 for Floyd he can shut all the people that say he wont fight anyone dangerous and he can also get a 154 belt which would make pac vs maywether that much bigger, the question is wether Floyd is willing to take a chance and fight Cotto because right now a loss would take him from his biggest payday of his career

Well am looking at it from a competitive point of view not PPV point of view, Am sure Hatton can still Draw a bit but competitively i wouldnt want to see him in there with the bigger boys.

Beating Cotto now wouldnt shut anyone up, Cotto is worn and need to heal but even then people would say he got beat by Pac and Margarito, Even when Cotto was undefeated he took a lot of punishment in the Judah and Mosley fight, At 140 he found a way to win all his fights but looking back now he was hit too much by people like Ricardo Torres, Corley etc Unless he goes on a monster run without getting hit too much i dont really want to see him face Mayweather.

But Floyd gets no credit for a fight like that, If he beats Cotto then people will say "Oh well Pacquiao and Margarito already ruined him". And do you think Bob Arum would want to basically give him an opponent that could end his career? Absolutley not, If Arum does give Cotto a dangerous opponent it will be a guy from Top Rank like Margarito or Pacquiao. One of those two.

Cotto is not an option. No one from Top Rank is. Bob refuses to do rational business with the Mayweathers. Cotto will most likely fight 154lbers from Top Rank...only

Cotto gave Pacquiao his toughest fight at 147 yet he isnt an elite?

I find it funny because by that logic than Marquez isnt an elite anymore. So Cottos two losses were against Manny Pacquiao teh greatest p4p fighter out there and Plasterito the cheato.

And now Cotto isnt an elite?? I still think Cotto beats Floyd based on a stylistic match up. Cotto has a the best jab at 147 and hits like a horse. Cotto outclassed Shane when Shane still had something in the tank in 2007. Floyd did it 3 years later , how is Floyd more of a superior fighter than Cotto?? FLoyd hasnt fought margarito clottey or pacquiao.

Cotto is an Elite, Joshua CLottey is the cut-off between elite and B class fighters

I gotta call bull ****... Cotto was a legit fighter for pac and he's legit for floyd. Its not a great win but it would be a credible win.
