Even if Floyd take that fight(unlikely), it won't do any good to his resume. Margarito and Pacquiao dumped him, he's no longer as useful as he used to be.

I disagree...Cotto and Mayweather is hell of a interesting fight. Now I know i probably can't change your mind about Cotto, but consider this... Cotto has Steward in the corner, and unlike Mosley and Brother ****m, I believe Cotto ACTUALLY listens to Steward! lol It seems like the relationship is working out. (so far)

Cotto has the skill and the corner to pull off the upset. (I know i said the same thing about Mosley) But it's the TRUTH!!! lol

Anyway...Mayweather is getting more and more credible with each fight. Now I know the Mayweather detractors are going to say Cotto is shot...cotto this and cotto that...but I say this...Cotto anyday in any condition is still a dangerous Cotto!!! SO this fight is a great fight today!!!! Cotto & Mayweather deserves all the praise and support for it!!!

For me Cotto isnt an option anymore for either Mayweather or Pacquiao, It has been established that those two are above him and i would have preferred the fight happening 2 or 3 years ago when Cotto was undefeated and hot.

Now he needs a lot of easier fights to get his confidence and body back in the right way, Unless Cotto plans on retiring in the next 12 months then go for it, If he wants to fight till say 35 then he need to let his body heal right.

He may not be in their league from a competitive standpoint, but from a monetary viewpoint he is the third biggest PPV draw in the USA. That makes him a viable option.

Steward needs to be smart with Cotto from here on out and not just in training but also a checks-n-balances against Arum. He can't compromise Cotto on the scales on anything less than the 154 limit. So if $May is willing to fight Cotto at light middle (similar to the DLH fight where PBF will come in at 48 ish) then I think it's a great opportunity for Cotto to have a few more meals than Floyd and be stronger in the clinches/inside. Not saying he will win as he'll more than likely get beaten to the punch and outpointed in the center, but the extra 7 lbs should help Cotto make a damn good fight and mitigate the cuts from his scar tissue. It's amazing how fighters are reborn in that second fight at a higher weight limit (154 in this case) once they fill out a bit and get that maiden voyage out the way. But I will cringe if there's talks about this being some b.s. catchweight of like 150 b/c Cotto simply doesn't need that trap door. Just defend your title at 54 and let these ego maniacs like a Floyd, Pac or even Margo come up to you on a "real" scale and not some float weight.

Your wrong, If Pacquiao fights Cotto he gets all the credit in the world. If Floyd fights him he gets no credit whatsoever. Just the way boxing works these days. lol

Pac is arums cash cow, I think to get a piece of a Mayweather event Arum would give Cotto to Mayweather on a silver platter, as long as it's not Pac.

Mayweather vs Cotto would be competitive and close...people continue to underestimate Miguel Cotto...He has the tools to beat Mayweather and honestly Mayweather can't really hurt Miguel...Pac is a nightmare for Cotto, I don't think Mayweather is for Miguel.

                  Miguel vs Mayweather

                  Pac vs Margarito

Losers against one another...winners against one another next March. Make it happen

This is something that I want to know as well. That is not the fight that should be made..at all.
