      Agree

for the those same reason you wont see williams fighting any golden boy fighters either. floyd, shane,mora..

I dont know why people are pointing out arum like he is the only one that does this

promoters have been keeping boxing matches with in there promotional firm as long as boxing has been around.

in the 90's you had don king and top rank doing it.

now you have golden boy and top rank doing it

the only time a promoter will put one of their star fighter in with another boxer from a other promotion are

a)if it will produce their fighter a very high payday or

b)their fighter is favored to win.

promoters obviously look for situation were both a and b are in their favor.

why people are blaming top rank for pac not fighting floyd is a mystery to me

margarito (top rank) fought shane (golden boy) fighter

pavlik (top rank) fought martinez (dibella)

cotto (top rank) fought shane (golden boy)

isnt obvious a promotional firm acts in the best interest on a fighter based on their fighter respective wishes?

so if a fighter doesnt want to part take in random blood test.. then his promoter has to stand behind him

hence, why we havent had the pleasure of watching floyd get decked in the face by pac because of his refusal of not wanting to take random blood test

Arum is a scumbag who has made a habit of robbing the public of the fights they want to see if it doesn't make only him richer & it doesn't take a brain surgeon to see it.

I agree. Hence the reason he put Pacquiao in there with Clottey in a fight that nobody wanted to see. It's funny people say Pacquiao takes the big fights and Floyd picks his opponents. Pacquiao just fights whoever Arum wants him to fight, Floyd took the best opponent out there in Mosley. A guy who was "too good" to fight according to Freddie Roach and Team Pacquiao. Who chose Clottey instead, A boring journeyman who did nothing to deserve such a big fight.

I don't see Arum being much worse than Golden Boy. For example, take Marquez. After his rematch with Diaz, five of his last six opponents will have been Golden Boy fighters. And the one that isn't a Golden Boy fighter (Manny Pacquiao) is promoted by Bob Arum.

But Arum has become worse for it the past year or two.

I'd like to see Paul Williams, Sergio Martinez and Sergiy Dzinziruk in with some of Arum's fighters (Cotto, Foreman, Margarito, Chavez) during the next year, but it's not going to happen.

I don't agree with that. For example, you listed Sergio Martinez. His last fight was against a Top Rank fighter.

Fights are just easier to make if you are promoting both guys, plus... in the case of Margarito vs. Cotto, the star lost, who stayed a star, and the guy on the brink became a star, meaning that Arum increased the star power of those that he promotes.
