If you didn't "agree to this" then you would not have to wonder why Manny P. was "allowed" to fight Marquez.

I am constantly astonished at the bias and real hatred that ignorant boxing followers show towards promoters (especially Arum,,,I wonder why??) who, after all, risk their f unds to sign (and bonus)promising boxers, guarantee them a steady income in many cases until they can earn their own money, find the best coaching, medical and nutritional aid, put them on the path to stardom and mult-imillions, which means their families for many generations will be securely wealthy (assuming they look after their money) and..............

LAST but NOT LEAST, for the followers who show them so much hatred,, they arrange and bankroll often huge extravaganzas, which bring to the public the fights they want to see, and the fights they enjoy. If the promotion does not succeed, the promoter loses a bundle, for which he probably can't be insured, risking his own funds time after time.

No one ever tells a promoter...."Thank you", but the very opposite, whilst all the time enjoying what the promoter brings........

How right you are. I still wonder at the ******ity and greed of Marquez and Berestain turning down $750,000 for the rematch, far more than he had ever made before, then, when he couldn'd get another decent fight had to travel around the world to get beaten by Chris John for exactly $32, 500........

Paul Williams vs. Cotto, Foreman, Clottey or Chavez would be interesting, but those fights will never happen.

And it's not because Williams and his promoter Goossen don't want the fights, it's because Arum would only get half the money and his boxer would have a high risk of losing.

Duddy just fought Chavez, and last night Arum said he'll likely fight Foreman next, and said Chavez may fight Cotto next...

Personally, I'd sooner see Paul Williams, Floyd Mayweather, Sergiy Dzinziruk or Sergio Martinez take on some of the Top Rank fighters. I'm getting bored with Bob Arum's merry-go-round.

Does Bob Arum have his boxers fight each other so he doesn't need to share the revenue with another promoter?

so you wish cotto vs pac didnt happen? same thing with margarito vs cotto? clottey vs cotto?

what? you want it to be like al haymon? where they keep paul williams, andre berto, & floyd mayweather jr. away from each other?

i got more respect for arum for actually pitting his best fighters together instead of keeping them apart like al haymon & golden boy.
