I'm glad that people are beggining to realise this. Boxing is a business and that's why we didnt see Floyd fight Cotto or Margarito. Neither of these guys were big enough draws and Arum was more focused on having them fight each other rather than anyone else. To make more money for himself and to build up his fighters.

Right now, Top Rank has basically nothing going for them aside from Manny Pacquiao and Bob Arum knows that if Mayweather KO'd him and then he retired. Then Top Rank would be basically screwed. Arum knows this and is trying to put Pacquiao in there with Margarito or Cotto again because that's a win-win situation for him.

I do agree with this, but i wonder why then did Arum allow Pac to fight Marquez who is with GBP, and shown that he was a solid threat to Pacquiao.

Yes, old Arum likes those win-win situations.

          Posted by JRosales..

Ask freedom fighter in that thread he created about Bob Arum keep letting his fighters fight each other.

Ask him why he put me on ignore? I wasn't trolling and why would he put me on ignore after responding to me and not giving me a chance to respond back? Tell him I said that is a ***** move,

          Then say this....

Ask him what fights by himself did Arum prevented to make? It is always a two way street. Don't just look at one party look at everybody involved

How did Martinez-Pavlik get made? Montiel-Hasegawa? Big fights that got made with other promotional companies. He didn't prevent them. He tried to make Pavlik-Williams. Arum had nothing to do with that fight not getting made.

Golden Boy prevents just as mush as big fights as Arum does.

Ignore? C'mon man, we can all be civil here.

How did you come to your conclusion?
The fact that Bob still holds a grudge against Floyd for leaving the nest. So rather than have Manny lose to Floyd, he'll play the media up.

I think both Floyd and Manny want the fight, but Arum's greed may prevent it from ever happening.
You would think Bob would be salivating at collecting a nice piece of a $30 mil plus pie.

I let actions speak louder than words.

Arum's greed? Manny is willing to do 50/50 and floyd wants 60/40.

Probably because the first fight was a draw, so there was a big demand for it. But still, it seemed to take a long time for the JMM-Pacquiao rematch to take place.

Since that time, in the past year or two, Arum's stopped making those kind of fights.

Do you know why it seemed to take a long time for the JMM rematch with Manny? Because JMM declined to accept the biggest payday of his career with manny and fought chris john in thailand for PEANUTS (and LOST).
