it was 800 for the diaz fight but it only lasted 9 rounds. i from a boxing stand point( not like i am a pro or anything) when i hit the bag i can throw 100 punches a round... thats what clottey was a walking everlast punching bag

Roberto Duran used to throw 1000+ punches too, and he came up from Lightweight to WW and was just as active.

I have to disagree. I just watched Hagler Duran last night and Duran was no where as active as he once was + very hard to quantify numbers pre punch stats.

How about you put up a statistic of last 10 pacman fights with his punch output. Your numbers do not mean jack without it.

in my earlier posts I have other fight stats, here is more

against oscar he averaged 73 punches a round, very good output-not close to 100+ per round.

I didn't go through this ******ed thread, but hopefully someone mentioned that Margarito set the compubox record for most punches thrown against Clottey.

It's no coincidence Clottey is at the tail end of these massive punches thrown statistics. He covers up and doesn't do **** for 2/3 of the round if not more!

He does not just do ****, he comes at you while not throwing any punches. This is any fighter's dream. At least Oscar had a common courtesy of attacking Pacman sometimes, having Manny on a defensive for a bit.
