good explanation for Manny's extreme increase in volume

I know there are a ton of Manny P is on this or that thread but I would like someone on here to offer a good explanation of how Pac moved up weight classes came in at his heaviest weight and then proceeded to throw by far the most punches of his career in a fight.

Pacquiao: Punches thrown: 1231; punches landed: 246
Clottey: Punches thrown: 399; punches landed: 108

This is a specific ? regarding the punch volume and of particular interest the amount of power punches thrown by Manny: Pacquiao threw an astounding 682 power punches and landed 232

I have yet to get a satisfactory answer as to how he pulled this off, hoping someone can help me understand otherwise I have to think Ariza is definitely slipping Manny some wonder juice.

Pac has always been a high volume puncher and Clottey's style played into Pac pushing his volume. Pac threw almost 800 punches against Cotto even though he was running for 5-6 rounds.

What expalantion do you need?? Pac's always been a volume puncher and it was magnified because clottey decided to be a punching bag. joe calzaghe averaged a thounsand punches PER fight so does Paul williams. Juan diaz also throws a heck of alot during a fight. Are you new to boxing??

its probably easier to throw lots of punches when your opponent just covers up like a hedgehog. unlike gettin your face busted off with counters every time you attack i.e. marquez fights.

If you stand in front of volume punchers covering up without throwing anything then there is a big chance that they would throw over a thousand punches, Volume punchers love to throw punches that what they LOVE to do and the only way to discourage them is when you have punches landing on them not when you cover up doing nothing while static.

My point exactly look at Pacs previous fights he has never came even close to the volume he achieved that night and not just volume punching, power punching at high volume. Dont try to insult me with you new to boxing comments. I was watching boxing when you were just a stain in your daddy's boxers.

against Cotto pac threw 780 punches, so we will say if the fight wen the distance 800 punches

against Marquez pac threw 619 punches

against Diaz pac threw 788 punches

Simple....he's the FIGHTER OF THE DECADE and only a fighter like that can do it.

Its not hard to throw 1231 punches, when you have some one not really throwing punches back. Pacs numbers would have been a lot lower if clottey had thrown more punches back.
