What about Ross Purrity? We might as well throw his name into the discussion while we're at it...

The wbo title wasn't even recognized as a world title so it's nots a lie...WBC was recognized wbo wasn'tWhich is a lie, Sanders' was the WBO champ and had to abandon the title, in fact the reason Wlad fought Brewster in 03(for the WBO strap) instead of Sanders was because Corey decided to go for less money/better perceived chances for the WBC title instead of giving Wlad an earned rematch.Comment

Are you thick? We are not talking about a validity of the title, we are talking about the fact that Wlad got the rematch and the damn title shot by fighting and getting ranked as a #1 contender for the title that COREY SANDERS HAD. He did not do it with his mouth, he did it with his fists, earned the rematch that Sanders decided not to give him. So for Sanders to say Wlad never pursuid a rematch is a LIE.Comment

Haha...regardless of the fact that your statement is irrelevant...I'm just curious: who "recognizes" alphabet titles as "world titles" that makes them legitimate? You? As far as I'm concerned none of them are even close to "world titles" except to the extent that one of them occasionally, by luck of the draw, manages to actually count a real champion among its dozens of titlists. I'd say in terms of legitimacy of the relative kind, the WBC, IBO, IBF, and WBA have been on a more or less equal footing for at least a decade in that all four of them always rank at least a few actual contenders in their top 10...as opposed to the WBF that lets Holyfield-Botha be staged for its vacant title. I'd say the IBO is at least equal to the big four in my estimation...but none of them are worth a hill of beans.
Sanders makes some good points, although most of them are conventional wisdom. He's got decent credibility in this area considering he's fought both and beat one- something not many others can claim.Comment

Sanders was always a dangerous puncher for like about 4 rounds. Wlad fell into it and might thought he didn't have nothing left cause Sanders was playing Golf, on idle for a while and his body doesn't look like a puncher. On top of that Sanders was always known to have very sloppy trainning habits and to be very inconsistant.
When Sanders fought Vitali is the most focused Ive ever seen him cause he had Vitali in trouble in the first few rounds and after he took all the punishment he was still trying to KO Vitali. I don't think Sanders ever took his career serious cause he was always doing something else besides boxingComment

I thought Haye had the speed and the power to put Vlad to sleep but now I realize it was only a wet dream and I am now awake
To beat Vlad its not that hard
you just need a decent chin and power and the balls to take risks like Sanders said
but no one can do it
I think Fat az Arreola puts Vlad to sleep but he doesnt deserve a shot at VladComment
