Sanders had Vitali down in the first round!! Imagine if they were the same age when they fought, no doubt in my mind who would win. Vitali can never beat a prime southpaw....

As for Wladimir, he hasn't fought a hard-hitting opponent in 5 years(Sam Peter), him and his fans are in for a rude awakening...
Wlad isn't the same fighter anymore and Vitali slipped then proceede to beat the crap out of Sanders

IMO he had the fastest, most nastiest and accurate straight lefts I've seen in recent HW boxing. Those bombs he landed on Vitali in their second round were undoubtedly some of the hardest shots the latter has ever taken (along with the Lennox uppercuts).

He didn't. Look at the DVD version and slow it down frame by frame. It's so bleedin' obvious it wasn't a KD.

Like this Wlad is the same that lost to Sanders . Noone will beat Wlad again unless he decides to fight until he's too old.

You ******. Sanders did not knock down Vitali, he pushed him down and the ref did not call it a knock down. The fact that a 38 yr old inactive out of shape Sanders gave 31 yr old Vitali much more of a fight than anyone else other than Lewis shows how much talent Sanders had.

Like the Prescott-Khan fight, it just looked comical. Even as a fan of Wladimir, I can watch that fight and chuckle at how it all went so horribly wrong.

Then again, those who constantly use it disparagingly against the version of him of today are evidently lacking in the knowledge of his fights overall - as in, how he fought so differently back then compared to now. I've never subscribed to the whole "He got KTFO by a fat, old, part-time golfer" routine because that's a sore disservice to Sanders' highly credible reputation as a devastating KO artist.

Sanders is admitting and all you haters need to take note: Wladimir underestimated Sanders. If Wladimir came with a different mindset, he would have beaten Sanders. This is just like Rahman v Lewis I, Lewis also took Rock lightly and look what happened, he didn't even get up from the canvas like Klitschko managed to do.

A prepared and focused Wlad would have never lost to Sanders. Just like a prepared and focused Lewis would never loose to Rahman.

I don't think that Klitschko's "feet were glued to the canvas with a Jab" as you assert. What is ALWAYS missing when this subject comes up, is that Sanders' fidt and hard head arrived almost together against Klitschko's jaw. Klitschko had always shown that he had a good chin, but 2-3 heavy butts in quick succession would have been evough to embarrass anyone, even unhelped by the fast left hand. Have a slo-mo look at it and you;ll see what I see.

I think this is what happened.....
" none of the current contenders are able to beat him because they don't fight brave enough to force Wladimir to make mistakes. He's very big and there aren't any strong contenders..... an opponent has to be brave and place constant pressure on him "

Wlad is huge, technically proficient, and he always comes in shape.

There are no good contenders, and the ones with skill seem to prefer training at McDonald's.

You can't stay at the end of Wlad's jab, you need to have the confidence to be able to exchange with him, and you need to be able to take his right hand.
Wlad had not fought a southpaw in his career before Sanders... He didn`t have any southpaws in his camp before Sanders...

You can just see the difference in the way he fought Sanders and Thompson (both tall lefties)... HE tried to work his jab with Sanders (big fail), but he started most of his combos with a right in the Thompson fight...

The whole numbers of factors were the reasons why Wlad did lost to Sanders...

                      Exactly.

The same bombs that wobbled Vitali had less effect on Wladimir and it was only after Sanders managed to use his own head as anvil (while at the same time punching Wladimir's head with his hand) that Wladimir got wobbled.

Sanders did this 3x in the fight and then finally won by TKO. Watch the slomos. Should have been been ruled a NC.
