I know about Marquez which is why I said Paq's hardest fight in 1 or 2 years. Diaz wasn't ****, DLH wasn't ****, Hatton wasn't ****... Yea Cotto was really Manny's first test in moving up from 130.

I wouldn't vote for him in there. But, his career is not over yet.

          Lets see:

2 Losses both brutal... to Margarito and Pacquiao

Best win is a close win over Shane Mosley (Floyd dominated him) and a beating of Zab Judah (Floyd already beat him) and barely beat Joshua Clottey, infact the second time I scored it I had Clottey winning compared to the first time where I had Cotto winning by a point.

Other than that he has wins over Paulie Malignaggi (A guy Amir Khan and Ricky Hatton dominated), Carlos Quintana (We know what happened after the Cotto fight), and Ricardo Torres (Who???)

So the simple question is, Hall of Famer or Not?
That is funny cuz I have heard Floyd stans say that Corrales, Castillo, and Gatti are HOF'ers.... Funny ****

How fans come up with stuff like this I would never know.

Yes. Just look at the names he has fought and won FFS. maybe another good win would seal it. but out of all the active fighters today, he has one of the best resumes. if guys like castillo, corrales(RIP) are HOF's then cotto is a 1st ballot HOF'er

Because he was scared. I don't think he was "hanging" with him, I think he was fighting. If you go into the fight without an pre-conceived notions, you'll be really surprised at how well Cotto was doing. And then he gets knocked down and looks shaky. And then he gets knocked down again and runs the rest of the fight. I think that he's almost on the same level as Pacquiao athletically, he just had to overextend himself to get to that level and couldn't sustain the pace. When his confidence got shaken up, he totally lost it.

No he is not a first ballot HOF'er. Not even close. At best he is borderline who could get in but it will take a long time. However, if Donald Curry is not in then I don't see how Cotto could be in.

This thread was made about a week ago and the majority said no. A win over Foreman now puts him in?
