He will get in. Is he a great fighter? No. The HOF does not always induct great fighters, they recognize good fighters that contributed to the sport. Some times people think that the HOF inducting some one means they are saying they're great fighters. If fighters like Danny Lopez and Terry Norris got in the HOF, you can bet Cotto is getting in.

Check out some of Cotto's Wins

Yuri Foreman - 28-0 - Was in his prime and Cotto was coming up from 145 to face him giving up a lot of stuff.
Joshua Clottey - 35-2 - Was in his prime and Cotto was not at his beat with a cut over his eye early on.
Shane Mosley - 44-4 - Past his prime but still better than the one Mayweather beat.
Zab Judah - 34-4 - Former lineal champion a little bit past his best but still on par with the one Mayweather faced and unlike Mayweather Cotto KO him.
Carlos Quintana - 23-0 - A prime undefeated Quintana who later on became the first man to beat Paul Williams.
      Paulie Malignaggi - 21-0 - A prime undefeated Malignaggi.
Ricardo Torres - 28-0 - Undefeated power puncher Colombian who later became a world champion.
Demarcus Corley - It took 12 rounds for Judah and Mayweather to beat him. Cotto did it in 5 rounds.

4 titles in 3 differenty divisions. He is a HOF.

If you're the type of person looking to discredit a fighter, you can do that pretty much with anyone. You can say that Ray Leonard lost to a lightweight in Duran and that Ray Robinson picked on old guys.

He's won world titles in three different divisions, faced guys like Pacquiao, Clottey, Yuri Foreman, Paulie Malignaggi, Antonio Margarito, Shane Mosley, Zab Judah, Carlos Quintana, who has this guy ducked?

Cotto lost to Margarito and Pacquiao, but the fact is that he had the audacity to face those guys when a lot of others didn't.
        Exactly my thoughts......

What if you are just a boxing fan who objectively looks at the caliber of his opponents and doesn't feel at this point in his career he is a hall of famer? No one is trying to discredit Cotto. So if Cotto retires today and you don't think he is a HOF'er right now than you hate Miguel?

So the simple question is, Hall of Famer or Not?
Of course he is. Mayweather and Pac fans should have nothing to do with this this topic, wtf is wrong with you? DO you really have to do that because you're a Mayweather fan?

His record speaks for itself. Out of 35 pro fights, he's had 28 ko's and his only 2 losses were 1. Pacman, the worlds p4p best, and 2. Tony Margarito. Both have more losses than Cotto, though Pac only has one more loss, compared to Margarito's 6 losses.

4 time world champ in 3 weight divisions, yeah, i'd say he's hof material. And he isn't done yet. I believe his best is yet to come being trained now by Steward.

Being an objective Boxing fan and looking at the stock of fighters who made it in the HOF in relation to where Cotto's career is and has gone, I'd say he'll be in the HOF...and I'm not a Cotto nuthugger by any means.

I don't think there is any doubt in my mind that Miguel Cotto is a Hall of Famer.
