A very athletic fighter who made good use of it in the ring, but he just couldn't mentally apply himself in there.

He trained hard and in camp he was always focused - he comes in magnificent shape to his fights (he only rehydrated like 3lbs max after weigh-ins) - but he just couldn't keep his **** together up top. He gets intimidated and deflated very easily. I think a lot of the whole "4 round fighter" thing is that he starts to get disillusioned and loses confidence when, for some reason, he hasn't got rid of people only a third into the fight.

If he learned to be patient and let stuff go (like getting a low blow or losing a round), and paced himself more, he'd be a ****ing nightmare. As it stands he was just a horrible opponent for three rounds.

Patience is another attribute that was never one of Zab's strong points....someone needs to teach him to control all that emotion....

He didn't say it. Goosen said he's moving him to 47. Williams didn't complain either.

P.S Tony k.o's him in a rematch. His only problem in that fight was starting in the 5th round..

I will admit...I was very high on Zab since watching the Ward fight.....and only heard of Kosta and seen my 1st Kosta fight against Sharmba (if I remember...Kosta was docked a point for something) and Sharmba got injured....so my 1st impression of Kosta was egh.....then I think it was against Urkal that again left me unimpressed....so those are my reasons for why Zab shouldn't have lost to Kosta.

Up till that point Zab had left a very long KO/TKO trail behind him of opponents....

Sorry...I don't know who Vince Phillips is....forgive my lack of knowledge.

Vince was the only guy to beat Kostya before he got washed up. And he did it by absorbing everything Kostya had and ko'ing his worn out ass in the 11th. It was about 10 fights b4 the Judah fight. Kostya was a monster who was on a very similar KO streak to Zab, except he Ko'd guys like MAG and Hurtado when Hurtado was a killer. Not to mention was an amateur legend that was ktfo'ing guys with huge gloves and headgear on.

I'm being a little hard on Zab, it's just that he's turned out to be so overrated due to his unprofessionalism (not preparing properly for fights), lack of focus, and poor stamina. Being in videos and thought of as "cool" by rappers does not make one an elite fighter.

You're a straight up Williams HATER. I see why you're so subjective and nonsensical when it comes to Williams. It's eating you up that he's 3-0 against murders row:Martinez, Cintron and Margarito.
