How did he move to ww? He's talking about it, does he have a fight scheduled their? Please explain?

So you're telling me the guy is running from Cintron but already beat Margs ass and drew (on my card-whatever, went life or death with) with Sergio is running from Cintron. That is some shi t that don't add up.

A very athletic fighter who made good use of it in the ring, but he just couldn't mentally apply himself in there.

He trained hard and in camp he was always focused - he comes in magnificent shape to his fights (he only rehydrated like 3lbs max after weigh-ins) - but he just couldn't keep his **** together up top. He gets intimidated and deflated very easily. I think a lot of the whole "4 round fighter" thing is that he starts to get disillusioned and loses confidence when, for some reason, he hasn't got rid of people only a third into the fight.

If he learned to be patient and let stuff go (like getting a low blow or losing a round), and paced himself more, he'd be a ****ing nightmare. As it stands he was just a horrible opponent for three rounds.

Had he ever seen Kostya fight before?

Is Zab anything like Vince Phillips?
I will admit...I was very high on Zab since watching the Ward fight.....and only heard of Kosta and seen my 1st Kosta fight against Sharmba (if I remember...Kosta was docked a point for something) and Sharmba got injured....so my 1st impression of Kosta was egh.....then I think it was against Urkal that again left me unimpressed....so those are my reasons for why Zab shouldn't have lost to Kosta.

Up till that point Zab had left a very long KO/TKO trail behind him of opponents....

Sorry...I don't know who Vince Phillips is....forgive my lack of knowledge.

Jay-Z is **** now.....in that era.....Roy appearing in videos (Mystikal, NORE) and Zab in Jay-Z's was pretty big....downplay it all you want....it was talked about ALOT back in those days.

I respect your point of view on Zab...and can tell no matter how many times we go back and forth....we will see different Zabs.
Let's not forget Zab's near loss V Pineda.

He appeared in Hip Hop videos (Jay-Z - Do it Again) and had name recognition....

So what is the explanation for the downfall of one of the most talented fighters of our generation....losing to fighters he shouldn't have lost to (Kosta and Baldomir)....yet showing great heart and determination against fighters he was expected to lose against (Cotto and Clottey)....then totally lose his mind on the biggest stage of his career (Floyd).

It just doesn't add up...and that's why I have come to the conclusion that it has to be either of the two.

I'd like to see what others think about Zab...please refrain from dissing Zab as overrated and a chump....becuase you don't just GET to fight all the above fighters by chance....you EARN the shot.
First of all, Zab attempted to choke and threw a stool at Jay Nady, he was involved in the brawl during the Mayweather fight, he's been filmed on video attacking people during a dice game...I would say he was extremely disrespectful and, in fact, a criminal.

Secondly, you can argue that he shouldn't have lost to Baldomir, but Kostya Tzsyu knocks him out 100 times out of 100.

Finally, he lost the fights he lost because despite insane physical gifts, he was mentally weak.

So what? Jay Z is ****, and any big booty slut could get in a rap video. Means nothing.

People have to stop confusing talent and athleticism. Judah is athletic, but his talent is average. He only got so far due to his natural speed. You say he was supposed to beat Kostya?? LOL. Based on what? Potential? Kostya is a legit HOF fighter and Judah was some kid that Kellerman was hyping. One had merit the other didn't. He probably should've beat Tata, but he didn't for the reasons stated above. He showed some heart against Cotto, but eventually quit and he blatantly quit against Clottey when Clottey started opening up on him so I don't see that as an example of "heart".

The reason Zab never amounted to what he was "supposed" to is simply because he isn't that good. You can blame his dad, or whatever else you want, but the bottom line is that he's had plenty of chances to prove everyone wrong and he always fails.

Its not training, cuz' he's always in good shape for fights, its not his big head, cuz' a lot of fighters have big heads and are successful, its just the fact that he was never that good to begin with.

Fast hands and an overly sympathetic HBO boxing dept. is the only reason he's still around.
Athleticism is talent brother.Every boxer has his strengths which make him win whether it's speed, power, movement, heart or defence.Roy Jones dominated the sport in the 90s because of his athleticism. If you cant adjust to someone's style then you wont go far and I think Zab was just a bit one dimensional.

I partly agree with some of your statements because measured against time,Zab has failed to deliver. To be considered as good you need to be consistant. What Zab does consistantly is to fail where it matters and with that maybe he was overhyped.Let's face it all fighters as they come up they appear unstoppable, beating everyone on their way.Ricky hatton,Miguel Cotto,Ndou even Castillo. All those guys looked like they were awesome. While we cant deny they were good fighters, they werent really elite. When their day to prove their greatness came they failed to shine. The only reason they shined earlier was because they were carefully matched. The same probably can be said of Zab Judah.Tsyu knocked him senseless,Baldomir beat him,Mayweather beat him,Cotto regardless of the way he did it beat Judah,Clottey beat the hell out of him.Surely in as much as we like Judah, his record isnt one of an elite fighter.
