I remember in the 1st and 2nd rounds against Cotto.....you could CLEARLY SEE that Cotto was open to that counter left uppercut by Zab....but I think the low blows by Cotto threw Zab off track....WAAAAY off track.

And yes....D.King....for some reason...has a pattern of his fighters falling from grace with the quickness......makes me worried for Devon Alexander....

Only against overmatched opponents he knew he could beat/intimidate. He tried this bull**** against Tata in the prefight intro's and when he saw Tata didn't bite he shrank like a *****.

He appeared in Hip Hop videos (Jay-Z - Do it Again) and had name recognition....
So what? Jay Z is ****, and any big booty slut could get in a rap video. Means nothing.
So what is the explanation for the downfall of one of the most talented fighters of our generation....losing to fighters he shouldn't have lost to (Kosta and Baldomir)....yet showing great heart and determination against fighters he was expected to lose against (Cotto and Clottey)....then totally lose his mind on the biggest stage of his career (Floyd).

People have to stop confusing talent and athleticism. Judah is athletic, but his talent is average. He only got so far due to his natural speed. You say he was supposed to beat Kostya?? LOL. Based on what? Potential? Kostya is a legit HOF fighter and Judah was some kid that Kellerman was hyping. One had merit the other didn't. He probably should've beat Tata, but he didn't for the reasons stated above. He showed some heart against Cotto, but eventually quit and he blatantly quit against Clottey when Clottey started opening up on him so I don't see that as an example of "heart".

The reason Zab never amounted to what he was "supposed" to is simply because he isn't that good. You can blame his dad, or whatever else you want, but the bottom line is that he's had plenty of chances to prove everyone wrong and he always fails.

Its not training, cuz' he's always in good shape for fights, its not his big head, cuz' a lot of fighters have big heads and are successful, its just the fact that he was never that good to begin with.

Fast hands and an overly sympathetic HBO boxing dept. is the only reason he's still around.

I'd like to know why the TS thinks Zab shouldn't have lost to Kostya?

Had he ever seen Kostya fight before?

Is Zab anything like Vince Phillips?

I hope Devon stays intact too. When Zab Judah got beaten was it by Mayweather or Baldomir,he blamed Don King for promotional obligations he was given like too many meetings & he claimed he didnt have time to train etc.I didnt buy the excuse but then even Tyson lost it when Don King came on the scene.Mayweather's comeback was also supposed to be done by Don King, thank God the deal never took off otherwise Mayweather would be having 4 losses by now.

At one point I was just like you. I always wanted to see him fulfill what I thought at that time was "untapped potential" but after the Clottey quittage I kicked him to the curb.
