good post. this dr probably sides with NSAC. all the NSAC wants is to not spend too much money. its been proven the current protocals dont do enough. we have observed several fighters admit to using peds. although they were not caught by NSAC. and this dr is saying what? we shouldnt test due to possible INFECTIONS??????????????? he admits some fighters caught infections by being tested with needles that were used more than once. besides being very NASTY, everyone in the medical profesion knows you dont re-use needles. and the possiblity of a hematoma is little to none. if you have a trained phlibotomist do the draw you will have no problem. there is always a small possibility of a freak accident. but that shouldnt stop NSAC from making progress. olympic athletes are tested the day of events some times and they dont say "i feel drained by the draw" and this dr did not support the theory of blood draws make you weak, because he knows the body replaces the amt of blood drawn before you leave the drs office.this dr is trying to get published IMO the things he talked about are very old. who doesnt know not to re-use needles? get real please.Whos experts were they and then what side did they back in their findings and then who does the writer of the article side with in his interpretation of proceedings , reminds me of the cigarette companys and their experts doctors giving evidence , its not hard to read between the lines .Comment

this post is factually wrong because there have not been numerous drs that have agreed with pac on this subject. if you talk to many drs they will tell you how easy it is to beat a urinalysis and a planned blood draw. also you dont think drs work with our olympic athletes? just lawyers? you are funny. i like how you flat out lied and state "NUMEROUS" drs.this is the first post that comes from a dr that support not taking blood from a fighter. but he relies on out dated material. if you believe this dude then you must be at grave risk every time you go to your dr. ask you dr if they re-use needles and watch him laugh and re assure you they dont.and we have heard from "NUMEROUS" boxers that they used peds and were not caught. where do we draw the line.Comment

Tygart Just wants a piece of the pie, plain and simple. They're track records are not that good. They have not caught any high profile athlete. The Jones' of the world can attest to that. They were not caught by their test. They admitted to using them though. There's big money to be gain hereComment

No not at all, one dr.s opinion, then team mayweather will bring in a dr. to dispute his claims, and this bull**** will happen all over again. DAMMMMMM, team pacquaio really doesn't want his fighter submitting to any form of RANDOM TESTING, so much so that this dr is against testing for hiv and hep because of the fear of having the fighter catch and infection. WOW, so you can have aids and fight because the puncture wound on his arm can cause hematomas, however if you bleed on your opponent and infect him, then thats all good. I GOT YOU DR. The one thing i find humorous about this whole fiasco is that you never heard any thing about manny being supersticious until mayweather asked for random testing.Comment

look as a person that gives multiple injections daily, i have to say this. there is a very, very, very, very small chance of anyone getting an infection from a blood draw if protocals are followed. the only way i can think of a person having an adverse effect from a blood draw is if, the skin is not cleaned off at the draw site which would give you whats called a drag in infection. or if needles are re-used which no true medical profesional would do. this is much ado about nothing. thousands and thousands of people get blood drawn each day and you dont have many adverse effects from healthy people. now if the person is already compromised by a disease process then you have a different story. but in healthy athletes, no problems. Please don't tell me this is going to be the newest excuse for Pac to use in order not to get tested. Not dis*****g what the doctors are saying at all but going by this logic, then fighters just shouldn't be tested by blood tests for anything period and even the commission's useless tests in place already are too harmful and dangerous for fighters. You've got to be kidding me. Of course you can get infected through injections but it was never a problem when it came to the NSAC's useless tests, how come all of a sudden its a problem for USADA's?Comment

No kidding. Not to mention they should ban rehydration through IVs, which is very common. Hell, Roach said he knew Oscar was done for their fight because he could still see the IV mark on Oscar's arm and knew he hadn't rehydrated properly. There should be a full-on ban of all needles, because of the rampant health repercussions.Comment

thats because they were tested by NSAC not USADA you bolster the point im trying to make.Tygart Just wants a piece of the pie, plain and simple. They're track records are not that good.
