Foster was an awesome LHW, despite not being in a strong era of LHWs (sort of like Jones).

I don't think Jones would do well at HW against Ali or Frazier either.

Prime RJJ whips anyone at 160-175 period.

The athleticism is absurd compared to anybody else.
'sugar' Ray Robinson would have lost against a prime Roy IMO.

does that make him a better ATG... no

Roy Jones Jr. in his prime, i believe, would beat any of the MW-Light Heavy greats.

Hard to tell which version of Jones can make 160 on fight night. If it's an actual prime, and not a ggreen RJ with 10 fights, that would be a tough customer for everyone, only Greb and Monzon would have a chance. (yes I see Rabinson and Hagler losing)

At 168 no one beats him. Period. Best ever at the weight.

At 175 it's very different. It's more of a question of is there anyone in the top 5 who Roy could beat.

                      Ezzard Charles
                      Michael Spinks
                      Gene Tunney
                      Archie Moore
                      Bob Foster

I would certainly bet on Charles or Spinks beating and possibly stopping Roy late (when in the late rounds coach Merk tells him to go and get them big, Roy would try to do that, because he is a warrior, but it would cost him).

The other ones are close fights, but I sure would not be putting any money on Roy.
