You talk like Roy had 15 minutes of fame or some ****.

For almost a 15 year period he lost one fight and that was a DQ for hitting a guy he had knocked down and was on the way to stopping. That means no legit losses over almost a decade and a half. Over this time he won titles from 160 through to Heavyweight and beat a string of very good and great fighters, barely losing a round for several fights in a row.

I think that body of work is decent enough to rate Jones on. Not saying his decline should be completely ignored, but it shouldn't take the focus away from just how spectacular he was in his prime.

    Definitely top 25 ATG IMO.

And, another thing me saying around the 50 mark is not really harsh. There are a lot of great fighters throughout history. Awesome fighters. There are only a few fighters in the last 20 years that can crack the top 50 mark, Calzaghe is not even close on mine, Tito my all time favorite is not near the 50 mark. I mean is hard to get that high. And, Roy is around it. It is more of a compliment then a diss.

Floyd is far more technical and follows the basics much more than Roy ever did and the reason for that is that he cant rely on only his physical talents the way Roy could. Floyd is more skillful than Roy by far but in terms of pure physical talent Roy is far ahead of Floyd.

Not enough footage for Charles Burly to know for sure about him, but even guys in Roy's own era would of been interesting. At 154-160 against Julian Jackson just courious about the power of Jackson if he landed on Roy what would of happen. But, I think Roy would of stopped. But, then Mike McCallum at 154 I think might have gave Roy problem, even at 160 would of been interesting. Michael Nunn another interesting fight, Nigel Benn, Chris Eubanks, Reggie Johnson at 160, G-Man of course. I would favor Roy against all these guys of is era. But, I think they all would of been interesting fights. That I would not have been surprise if Roy lost to any of them.

And, I also think Antonio Tarver with his size, skills, and style would of always gave any version of Roy hell. I don't know if he would of beaten Roy but would of gave him hell.

JT also became a champ from MW to HW. Well he got a NC so I guess technically he didn't
Roy's best was at 160 and 168 where he was the bigger, stronger and faster fighter. I still think 175 he was kinda of a small light heavyweight.
