AUGUST 12 is a Friday, one day before the PPV with Rahman-Barrett...

They did that last year with Tyson-Williams and Morales-Hernandez, too. 85 bucks in two days to watch boxing on TV...lol
I never buy PPV, with that money I can buy a full boxing career on DVD. Only reason he'll move up in weight has to be for DLH, or Mosley, since he wants PPV fights, and Hatton is the only PPV fighter at 140 right now. I guess Cotto/Hatton will be made or Cotto/Tyzu has the next big fight at that weight. Than after that is either rematch, or hold the belts for awhile to the victor.

Thank you. Barrett is the most over rated fighter in the top 10 in any weight class. and Rahman fought like 5 times last year against bums in order to move up the ranks.

He has always wanted De la hoya, but I have my doubts if De la hoya will ever get back into the ring. Perhaps a farewell fight against Yori Boy Campas or someone like that. But any top guy today beats the old and fat DLH.

Although De la hoya has been teasing a fight with Winky at a DLH weight.

Mosley isnt even a top name now if Mayweather wants to make serious cash at 147 he needs to fight his boyfriend.

If he doesnt fight those two, his move up in weight would mean nothing, Zab would be just as easy as the Corley fight was, and the Margarito fight would be similar to Castillo. Even if DLH/Mosley are downhill, they still would beable to headline a PPV.

I don't see any news that Mayweather will fight Margo. Where did you get this?

Exactly, Floyd has better options at 140 I believe. Floyd has always fought the best at 130 and 135 and beating Gatti and holding the WBC strap doesnt mean anything. He still has work and hasnt beaten even the 2nd rated guy at 140. He has unfinished business, Mayweather is still under 30 he has time to conquer 140 and then move to 147.

The bad thing about this is that Arum promotes Floyd and Cotto, right now Floyd is Arum's new meal ticket and he is finely grooming Cotto to be his. So I highly doubt this fight will ever happen, especially if the numbers are large for Mayweathers next fight.

Arum was grooming Cotto to replace DLH/Morales, now that Floyd is a top draw now that fight isnt looking likely especially since Cotto still has many years ahead of him.

u guys are hella underestimating Mararito and act as if Santos blew Margarito away. I think it will be a tough fight for PBF and margarito is not easy to ko eiher and unlike gatti doesnt cut easy and swell fast. I think Margarito has a great chance at beating PBF. It will be a good fight, i will most likely order it.

Marguarito ain't landing on PBF and it'll be another landslide. I like the relentless punching machine but Marguarito doesn't have the smarts to play chess with Floyd. ****, he should have cleaned out 140 first, there were more big names I don't understand the sudden jump.

Prove it to me that Margarito is more than an average fighter. He looks good against ok opposition but when he steps it up with a higher caliber he is outclassed and neutralized. Plus Margarito cant deal with boxers well, Floyd's speed and elusiveness will give Margarito fits.

Where did you hear it was August 12th PPV?

I saw it on ********** but I figured it was a mistake - it was originally announced that PBF would be back on Nov 12th

Reason I'm thinking Aug 12th is wrong is that first it's a Friday, and second just over a month is not a lot of time to get an opponent and build a PPV.

Also - if Floyd really is going to go straight up to 147 won't he want to manage the transition a little more smoothly - ie take a little time to figure the best way to put the extra weight on?
