I don't know about that, but I wouldnt be surprised if its true

He was in Foreman's corner in Zaire, he also did commentary for the fight: Ali-Frazier.

You should also read Thomas Hauser's biography about Ali, paying particular attention what Moore says as well

He was always a bit eccentric if that's what you mean, and he got worse the older he got .

He never went mental and lived a somewhat healthy life.

He helped Foreman in his come back as well.

I think he yelled something from ringside like: "We've got the excitement here that we look for!"

My List always remains the same...

              1) Sugar Ray Robinson
              2) Ali
              3) Sugar Ray Leonard

I don't consider any other name to be in with these guys. Duran might be a close honorable mention, beating Leonard, having a career with 100+ fights, etc.

Anyone mentioning Mayweather as GOAT compared to these guys is high as a kite.

The quality of boxing is not the same today as it was in the era of these boxers. That's one thing. The second thing is all 3 of those guys have like 10 HOF fights. Floyd has exactly 3. The end. No comparison.

Manny may one day put his name onto the top 10 list. He has 9 HOF fights (if Cotto gets into the HOF which I believe he will).
