Where would you rank Roy Jones Jr. on an all time fighters list?

Of all time greatest including every division?

He may crack my top 15, unfortunately for Roy he showcased his skills brilliantly and everybody claims he was fairly untested although he fought the best the division had to offer. There is always a question mark about Roy, was he that damn good or was his opposition just that bad?

gotta be top 10. no one in our era dominated people like he did. all we have is the competition of our time and he made them look like amateurs making their debuts. I think he lost his focus and thought he could walk through anyone and that is why he lost his last two. If not for his overconfidence, he would have been top 5 no doubt.

Yup I meant all time including every division. What do you think Jinx that good or his opponents that bad? I think he was just that great he made his opponents look bad, Roy was incredible in his prime.

I'd like to hear Flap's and DEV's view point on this one.

I think it was a little bit of both. He has fought some very good opponents but he has also fought some not so good opponents. He would be in my top 20 or 25.

Take away all factors he beat Bernard Hopkins and James Toney. I know Hopkins wasn't as good and Toney had weight problems but thats not Roy's fault. Who else can say they beat both Hopkins and Toney?

Ok it is like this, Here are the top fighters Roy had faced.

                  Castro
                  Hopkins
                  Toney
                  Pazienza
                  Brannon
                  McCallum
                  Griffin
                  Hill
                  Grant
                  Harding
                  Gonzalez
                  Woods
                  Ruiz
                  Tarver

That is a pretty long list of opponents he outclassed and beaten convincingly I believe he stole the Tarver fight by 2 or 3 rounds. So he dominated his opponents thorougly. Majority of top fighters only have about 6 noteworthy fights. Well Roy has had over 10 and outclassed them all. Ohh how can we forget he went to heavyweight and defeated the unbeatable Ruiz who most heavyweights today cannot beat.

Roy is great and deserves to be placed in the top 10-15 of greatest, but it isnt his fault his division was lacking. He fought the best the division had to offer. Also it isnt like 168 or cruiser had anything spectacular for Roy either. So rightfully so Roy is one of the greatest for his achievements and his physicaly abilities.

Uhmm, nobody can. Hopkins has two losses, and Toney what? 5 or so?

Anyhow, I rate him top 15, probably, definitely 20 pound for pound. Not sure how I'd rate him with all the other middleweights, etc, considering the majority of his career was spent at light heavy.

Also, I don't think JUY JUY's opinion should be considered, because he's a hater.
