You place any of the elite boxers of the past 50 years against the elite MMA fighters of the last 50 years, and I'm taking the boxer every time. Or even todays elite boxers against the elite MMA fighters of today. In both the boxing ring and the octagon, I'm taking the boxer.

Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, Chad Dawson, Yuriorkis Gamboa, Andre Ward, Wladimir Klitschko and Vitali Klitschko, Sergio Martinez, and Devon Alexander, would completely dominate any current MMA fighter of the same weight class. Whether it be in the Octagon or the boxing ring.

Just because someone is elite at one sport doesn't mean they are good at another. Seriously outside of Dion Sanders and Bo Jackson please name all the Multi sport athletes out there that had great success in the pro ranks.
