Let's not exaggerate. Those guys look like they started training a week ago.
As evidenced here, karate is really not that effective unless you stick to it for years and years. Boxing on the other hand can give you the necessary skill set in a few months. I'm not talking about making you a champion, but all of a sudden you can hold your own in a fight. Being able to punch effectively, defense, and of course taking a couple of hits yourself.
Now, this is a whole different story.
If you are going to judge, at least watch professionals.
Here we have a kick boxer who's most natural at stand-up and judging by his upper body strength can throw a mean punch. Well, he doesn't even get a chance to throw a punch before his ass is on the ground crying in pain.
Let's be real, a master grappler will not even let it get to punching.
The guys you see in the UFC and such are dimwits with a year and half of training. Not all of course.
P.S. I am a boxing fan, obviously.Comment

You can teach the best from boxing to be able to protect themselves with the basics , but you cant teach the best MMA to throw punches like boxers , if you dont get somebody like Pac or Floyd on the ground your in big trouble the moment your in punching range it will be lights out , MMA suck at standup compared with a top boxer .Comment
