actually in this fight I think since he was Winky's challenger he had to wear Grants if it was in Wink's contract.

glove brands can indeed be dictated by both a fighter or a comission. Sometimes rules stipulate that fighters must have on the same brand in a fight, sometimes fighters will add into the contracts their opponent must wear the same brand etc etc

in the case of Mosley he specifically told us (Everlast) he was going with Grant instead of our Mexican glove because Naazim is a big Grant man and said that the Grant glove was a better performing glove than the Reyes and the Everlast styles

whats wrong with grants ,there balanced gloves.there not everlast.reyes are for punchers sure but i have never seen a fighter lose his power from wearing grants,unlike everlast.just my opinion.

they are not balanced gloves like you state

they are protective gloves like our Everlast Protex3. They are made to protect the knuckles as they have a high concentration of padding in the knuckle area and punchers do get affected by them which is why a guy like Angulo preferred to no longer use them as they didn't give him the power he wanted

You dont seem to get it, You seem to be pushing this agenda that Mayweather made Mosley wear grant gloves, Facts is Mosley wore what he wanted to wear, He trained with Everlast throughout his sparring but decides against it on the morning of the fight because everlast made a brand-new gloves for him a gloves that they wanted Mosley to try for the first time ever, He decides not to take the risk and went with grant gloves....Not everyone goes for reyes gloves..

we didn't make a brand new glove for him that's a lie

we had the MX, which he liked, and we were willing to customize the color to match what he wanted. We also run with the idea of adding a 10oz thumb to his 8oz glove to make it longer but otherwise it was a standard MX.

He chose not to use it because he felt unsure about whether to try a new glove (which is actually about a year old now and has been on champion hands but I digress) and while they are very very similar to the Reyes he went with a Grant

IMO had he chose a Reyes or our MX it round 2 could have gotten very interesting

Watching the Hbo ppv, Emanuel steward noticed Mosely had to use the Gloves mayweather chose for him before the start of the fight.

Plus the fact that Mosely wasn't even been able to break in his new Grant gloves(pillow Gloves) during training is a bad thing going to a fight.

A fighter should be using his choice of gloves as a tennis player or a golfer should be using their choice of racket or golf set, but agian mayweather who is so good at getting all the advantage for him made Mosely wear Grant gloves. Which we know damn well isn't his gloves of choice.

Imagine if it was the punchers gloves Cleto Reyes ( punchers gloves/fighters gloves ) that caught mayweather head with that big right Mosely threw.

If Mosley didn't like the contract, then he shouldn't have signed it. When you are a PPV King you are allowed to make demands like that...see De La Hoya Vs Mayweather. It's not like Grant and Everlast gloves are pillows....they're in the top 5 glove manufacturers in the world so I don't think it's a valid reason to say Mosley didn't win. Even if it is a valid reason..Mosley should have known "Okay my gloves aren't the best so ONE shot won't KO Mayweather...I need to land more punches"....what did he do??? Totally different as an opponent can be knocked out with any glove, but tennis is completely different. Hell golf for that matter, plus there are winnings gloves, there are many types of gloves, but during 24/7 I remember mosley wearing everlast. So that kills your he needed to break in his own gloves ****, as he was wearing everlast, and didnt have one pair of cleto reyes.As a matter of fact he has a contract with everlast or some ****, because every glove at my local sporting goods store (everlast) has his image on the back of it. PLus thats all he had during 24/7, so dont give me that ****.

Try watching most of Mosely's fights, you can see for your own 2 eyes mosely prefer the less padded cleto reyes which are for punchers who want to get the maximum power output in there punches.

But Floyd junior didn't want him to wear that go figure?
