I believe the best would be for the fans for Floyd to fight Martinez or Williams but I don't think he is willing to engage in such risk fights, he would rather fight the smaller Pacquiao because he thinks that without Peds, Pacquiao is the same that fought Marquez, a very vulnerable fighter and he might be right. So he would take the risk in fighting a smaller man if he knows he is clean and that's why he asks for the tests. At the same time he wins more money by fighting Pacquiao. So more money, less risk. Then after he beats small Pacquiao, who will clean this time because of the blood tests, people will say he is the greatest and he will retire avoiding the bigger man and bigger challenges in Williams, Martinez and even Cotto if Cotto is able to come back to his best. I've said it many times Floyd has managed his career brilliantly but that doesn't make him a great fighter (even though he has great talent but not willing to take on real challenges) but a very, very smart one.

LoL! Who honestly here thought Fraud would ever step in the ring with Manny? HONESTLY, ask yourself that? In every interview he would make up alibis and reasons why he doesn't need to fight Manny. He never sounded in the way he talked that he wanted to fight Manny, EVER. This just confirms it. First they bleed their way out, now they demand their way out. JUST RETIRE FRAUD, BOXING IS BETTER WITHOUT YOU!Comment

@mrJoeBlive... Pacman didn't try to steal 250k from ODLH. Actually, ODLH tried to steal Pacman's rights from Arum and got caught. Pacman took the money and tried to give it back, that's when ODLH said no, we have a contract (which was a violation of Pacman's contract). Come on, Pacman was forced to quit school at 10 years old to help out his father, which he hated, so he ran away at 12. No one said Pacman was a rocket scientist. And of course he fights for money, it's just that to him pride is more important than money...Comment

it is like with De La Hoya. Who got a 50-50 purse with De La Hoya?? Why?? Maybe because he sold more ppv than anyone else??
If you work in a company for commission (like selling cars) you sell 30 cars a week and this other guy sell 20 cars a week. and you guys sell a car together do you think the other guy deserve 50% when you are always selling more than him??Comment

@Buckadacious, who is Floyd going to whoop ass on if the fight with Pacman falls through? Floyd would beat Paul Williams (after what I have seen he is very vulnerable) but I will bet you ANYTHING that he never fights Sergio Martinez. Daddy Floyd Sr. already stated that he doesn't like his son to fight southpaws and Sergio is big enough and fast enough to hit Floyd and not be hit...Comment

Sup Joe, I can't compare ducks okay. So here is how I come to a conclusion about each guys level of comp. First question I ask is, how long has each fighter participated in a given weight class. In this case both are welterweights correct? Ok so using that as my starting point, Floyd has been a welterweight since November 2005 against Sharmbe Mitchell, we're now in 2010 so according to my math that would roughly be 5 years as a welter(yes I realize he went on an extended vacation).
I then look at the fighters he faced in that span of time and weigh that against the opposition he didn't face, in this case Cotto, Margarito,Mosley (younger version) or even give a guy like PWill an opportunity to make a name for himself, after all it's charitable, but that's for another day and time.
Okay the next question I ask myself is, how long has Pac been a welterweight? Prior to that how long was he at junior welterweight? Prior to him being at 140/147, in context you weigh his achievements against the expectations, so for example say this was 3 years ago and Pac said I'm moving up and fighting ranked welterweight opposition in both Clottey and Cotto, no one in their right mind if they are being honest thought he could last against two naturally bigger men, they would have laughed it off. We didn't know what he would be become as he moved up in weight and just how dominating he would be, now Floyd has been dominant for much longer, so I give him that, but Pac has been dominant in weight classes that he has only been participating in for an extremely limited amount of time. I don't give him credit for Oscar, but I credit him with both Cotto and Clottey, obviously Clottey has been capable against everyone he has ever entered the ring with, giving both Cotto and Margarito all they could handle, against Pac he got handled. Cotto a walk you down, grinding body attack type of fighter was forced to back pedal against a naturally smaller guy and eventually dominated, at some point you have put things in context and give Pac credit for these accomplishment because of the limited amount of time it took for him to do it.Comment

Im sick and tired of this bull**** negotiating through the media, (exactly what Bob Arum said he didn't want to do). If anybody else was Mayweather after his 1st and only request got rejected, and he was sued for it, ill ask for a bigger slice of the pie too, he deserves it. You have a guy that made 6-10 million dollars in his last fight, the purse split for that was a ridiculous 90-10 in favor of pacquaio. Mayweather made 30-40 million dollars in his last fight. So what in team pacquiao's right mind made them think that the 50-50 split was still on the table, probably the same thing that made them think the 14day offer still stands. Its funny how they already know who floyd's replacement is if the fight between the two doesnt happen. Same as they new during the 1st negotiations that if the fight didn't happen they were fighting Clottey. Now it's Margarito, keep it up Arum and Company your making your boy look like a clown.Comment

yo whats up tweezy! these cats kill me with this mexican theory. if floyds success is due to ALL the mexicans buying the ppvs, then PLEASE explain why pac vs JMM did 750,000 ppvs in two fights. and floyd vs JMM did 1.25million ppvs and thats going up against a mma ppv event. like the man said numbers dont lie. but people sure do!Comment
